Gyakuten Kenji 2 (Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Miles Edgeworth) - No Capcom no problem

Cao Cao

CAGiversary!
An entry for Gyakuten Kenji 2 was listed in the table of contents of this week's Famitsu, confirming that they're releasing a sequel to their Ace Attorney Investigations spin-off series. We're currently waiting for a scan of the page for details on this title.

EDIT: The scan is a few posts below. In one section, I think it says that it will be making an appearance at TGS.

Hopefully after the third sequel they won't decide to shift gears again and make Ace Attorney Investigations: Klavier Gavin.

Good show. I think I actually enjoyed Apollo Justice more but it was still a decent game, and the only DS game I bought this year outside of Chrono Trigger DS (cause it was so damn cheap) I don't have time for long RPGs otherwise I would have picked up Dragon Quest. So yeah, my DS is pretty much the Castlevania/Ace Attorney machine.

As pointed out on GAF, you can see Shelly de Killer in one of the screenshots (The scan's blurry, but it's pretty easy to recognize that mustache and monocle).
FFuuuuuu yes.

I will be picking up Famitsu this week since I am in Japan. :D
I demand you get me some crane game Earthbound prizes.

Awesome. I'm finally getting around to playing the first AAI so knowing there will be a second is exciting to hear. So far enjoying the system overhaul that AAI offers much more than the bells and whistles in the Apollo Justice entry (looking at you, Perceive System).

We saw those at Club Sega. My husband wouldn't let me play but I did take a picture. If we ever upload pics I'll send it to you.

Got Miles Edgeworth 1 from Amazon and will be getting the first from Capcom with Ghost trick. 2 games for $25. Sweetness
Adding to my Ace Attorney collection and I haven't even played one.

I'm glad there will be another one I liked the first one.

There's going to be a limited edition for this of coarse comes with CD, Edgeworth figure and something else and of coarse the game..

I didn't know there was a Collector's Edition for the 1st AAI. If I knew I would have ordered it. I preordered this game from Gamestop because I knew there would be limited copies. Since then I've realized how great Amazon is and I know I can order directly from Capcom.
Here's an interesting tidbit about one of the later cases of this game. In Case 3, you'll get to play as
Edgeworth's dad, Gregory. Apparently, one of Edgeworth's cases is connected to a case that Gregory investigated 18 years in the past. Screenshots at AndriaSang:

Sweet. I love how this series deals with character backstories and flashbacks.

The complete beta fan translation (Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor's Path) was just released!

http://gbatemp.net/threads/ace-attorney-investigation-2-prosecutors-path-cases-1-5-beta-release.367451/

Precautionary Note: No ROM requests or anything of the sort are allowed here.

EDIT: It's also worth noting, for those who haven't been keeping up with the DS fan-translation scene, this is the third major release in the past few months, with the other two being the fan-translations of 7th Dragon and Retro Game Challenge 2 (Game Center CX: Arino no Chousenjou 2).

7th Dragon is an classic-style RPG designed by Phantasy Star creator Rieko Kodama. It's a little rough around the edges, but the patch helps by reducing the encounter rate and the damage from the deadly deadly flowers.

Retro Game Challenge 2 is a stuffed package, including an even greater variety of retro-styled games that are pretty great, along with altered versions of the games from the first one. It also has new "issues" of GameFan, unlockable content, and the "Daily Challenge" mode, which, as the name says, gives you a new challenge for one of the games every day. HG101 has detailed articles on both games, if you want to learn more about these games (7th Dragon, RGC2).

I'd heard the news about Retro Game Challenge 2, but not 7th Dragon-- pretty nice! And AAI2, of course :D
