Excellent work. Although the new format threw me off for the first few minutes, I think that it is much cleaner....how it doesn't involve more work for you. Thanks again OP for this and all your other FYE work.

Shit I had 2 copys of sneakers (the game with the mice on the cover right), I had 2 copys from TRU the red tag sale (cost about 5 bucks) and I traded them to ebgames got me about 20. I could have gotten 40 at FYE, fuck.

Good looking out Strider Turbulence. I'll add one more deal that I found.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 (XB) $40 New

Also I found out that Mercenaries (XB) trades for $19 and MK: Deception (XB) trades for $17. Just like their PS2 counterparts. Once again thanx Strider.

WTF? Auto Modellista is only $20 to buy at FYE and it gets $18 credit? Maybe its time to tade that sucker in... Although I liked the graphic style the gameplay wasent too great.

Showdown: Legends of Wrestling gets $22.19 on Xbox and im pretty sure on PS2 also.
Disaster Report on PS2 gets 18.
Dinotopia for Xbox gets 24 according to most reports.

Thats all i can think of now..there's still some good deals out there..just have to keep checking. Nice post.

Don't know if this was posted in the previous thread (i didn't want to read thru 76 pages of stuff), but I tried to trade in a brand new Siren, Hitman 2, and Bloodrayne today, but they said they don't take sealed games for fear that they were stolen. I asked if I could walk out of the store, open them up, and come back in, and she said no, I still won't accept them. Damn! Looks like I have to make another trip when that girl ain't working there. I did trade in the following for
$7.50: XBOX Enter the Matrix
Mortal Kombat

$7.50: PS2 Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Midnight Club II
Summer Heat Beach Volleyball
Conflict Desert Storm

$10: PS2 Arc the Lad

any exploits here kinda like the room zoom pick it up for 10 new trade in for 26$, any place have them high dollar games for cheap?

Blockbusters are known to have both Room Zoom and Freestyle Street Soccer at $5 & $7 each.

Currently Blockbusters are having a "Buy 2 get 1 FREE sale".
Okay has anyone been told that you have to be 18 years old and fill out some police report to trade in games? I go to an FYE in Florida and that's what the manager told me. I was like WTF and they said it was some new law that got passed in FL. Funny thing was I went to a GameStop in the same mall and got no trouble trading in games.
I think it mainly has to do with symantics. At game stores you "trade," whereas FYE does "buy backs." Seems they're being required to act more as a pawn shop in the respect of trades. I always use the phrase "trade-in" instead of "buy back" when I go there so it doesn't seem like I do this as almost a profession.

Strider... for you.
Decided to try a new format, hope it works out well... I welcome any sort of feedback you might have
I don't know about everyone else, but I think the old format was much better and more user-friendly. Before all we had to do was check the list for a game we wanted trade in and see the amount of store credit we would get. But now, if we don't know the price of the game we want to trade in, we have to guess its price range ($10-$19, $5-$9, etc.) and find it in one of the many lists. Bottomline, the previous list had the games listed in alphabetical order by system, which is altogether the easiest format you could ever have.

Personally I think the old format needs to come back (I'd be willing to help make it, if need be), but I also want to hear other peoples' opinions on the subject as well.
Most of the items rung up less than what the price tag said... Feel free to post whatever great deals you've come across.
StriderTurbulence, this is an awesome idea! I know it seems wierd for "FYE" and "deals" to be used in the same sentence, but every once in awhile, I find games at reduced prices. Here's a few that I've found recently:

Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball (Xbox) *SEALED* - $19.99
Sonic Heroes (GCN) *SEALED* - $19.99
Viewtiful Joe 2 (PS2) *SEALED* - $19.99
Viewtiful Joe 2 (GCN) *SEALED* - $19.99
Onimusha 3: Demon Siege (PS2) *SEALED* - $14.99

Props to StriderTurbulence for making this thread! Everytime I see an (anti-)FYE thread, it makes my day a little better everytime. It really does!

Here's hoping FYE goes under!

Why would you hope FYE goes under? IF that happened we won't be able to use our trade in credit, and then this thread would be all for nothing.
LONG LIVE FYE and their inflated trade-in prices!

I like the new format, it makes it easier to find out which games get the highest trade in value, so I don't waste my time looking for crap games which only get crappy trade in value.

here's what i traded in 3-11:

Disaster Report ps2 $18
Kengo ps2 $4
Crash bandicoot wrath of cortex gc $7.50
Urban Freestyle Soccer GC & XBOX $17 each
Legends of Wrestling xbox $7.50
Bloody Roar 4 ps2 $10

Strider...thanks for the good work again, but if I could make a request. When you do the updates, could you post at the top of the post when it was last updated. I know that the "edited" section at the end of the op says it, but I'm sure this would be a convenience for all. Thanks again Strider.

Today I traded in:

Def Jam FFNY (XB) $11
Mad Maestro (PS2) $7.50

Had some other credit and I picked up another sealed copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 (XB) for $40. :D

xbox espn nfl 2k5 9
xbox room zoom 26

Need..PSP....

Malice is $10 at Gamestop.com but ymmv on B&M price. elprinciple said in the old topic that it's $14.99 in store. EB has it new for $15 and used for $10.

Room Zoom is $10 and under at EB and Gamestop, they can't keep them on the shelves it seems.

I can't find V-rally 3 (XBX) anywhere and even Pro Race Driver seemed to dry up. Dinotopia (XBX) was $8 used at EB but they go out of stock quick, ditto for Sneakers.

Disaster Report nets a cool $18 and was $3.99 used at EB last month.

Unreal II is under $10 at most TRU stores and it nets $18.

Freestyle soccer is a no go for me. All the franschise BB store sell it for $19.99 and all the corporate ones don't carry it in acceptable condition.

Anyone know any other good games to flip for credit?

Malice is $14.99 at my local gamestop. When I told the guy that it's $9.99 online he just said that the online store had lower overhead and that the in-store price was just higher sometimes. Ok, I sort-of believe that, but 50% higher? Online it shows a `Price drop' on it, and the old price was $14.99. So the stores are probably just slow to follow. That's probably why there are still copies around though. =)

I'd have to say that XB Motor Trend Lotus Challenge and PS2 Auto Modellista (both $7.99 at EB, ~$6 after GAG15 & edge), which get $18.50 and $18 each are also good options.

Thanks. Motor Trend might be a problem (they pretty much have a Motor Trend section at the 4 fye stores I go to) since i've been using that game since last June.

If it's true that Mafia Xbox went back to $15 (I tried it about 2 months ago and got $7.50), that could be a good one if your TRU store has lowered the price recently to under $5. My local TRU had it for $4.48 but other TRU's I went to had it for $9 to $10

Oh fun... I'm back in Jacksonville, FL from Orlando on Spring Break and the FYE's here for some reason aren't buying back games for some reason. They say it's something about the new law changes in Florida, but the Orlando FYE's I've gone to have already made do with that several weeks back.

[/end random whining]
Anyone try XBOX Pro Race Driver (w/the overlapping UPC) lately?
I tried it both. The first time with the UPC sticker on and then I peeled it off. Both times the system would not take the game (i.e. it did not appear in their system). This was in the Montebello CA FYE about 2 weeks ago.

You know what REALLY sucks? My TRU had a stack of Sneakers (XBOX). Let's say about 15 or so. $2 after 90% off. If only I had a time machine.

Xbox
Broken Sword $10
Murakumo $7.50
Wrath Unleashed $14.99

PS2
Lupin the 3rd $26
Lowrider $17
Auto Modellista $7.50 (this is listed as $18 on your list)

GC
Viewtiful Joe $7.50

Got denied on Freestyle Soccer both the Xbox and GC versions, jealous of those whose FYE's accept them.

Can we start posting in individual posts the locations that we're getting these prices....this may be helpful. Obviously Strider would disregard the locations for the general post, though.

Traded today:

PS2
Black and Bruised $1.00 (didn't trade this one)
Metal Gear Solid 2 $4.00
Savage Skies $7.50

GBA
Crazy Taxi: Catch a Ride $10.00
Aggressive Inline $10.00 (!!!)
Virtua Tennis $7.50

XBOX
Drake $9.00
Motor Trend Lotus Challenge $18.50

I had $268 in credit including my previous trades, I walked out with Mercenaries for XBOX. They also let me FINALLY buy a gift card with the rest of my $213 in credit so I didn't have those crappy receipts anymore and could use the credit online.

I just ordered Lumines, Brotherhood of the Blade, and Metal Gear Acid for the PSP along with Brothers in Arms for the XBOX and Seasons 1 & 2 of Seinfeld off of the website with the rest of my credit. I'm finally rid of it all! Time to start building it up again. ;)

No more freestyle street soccer, I tried at three locations in the KOP Mall and was denied...They didn't have any in the store...So I think that deal is dead...It was a good run while it lasted

They've probably got a million Freestyle Street Soccers already! What sucks is that I've got one comming in the mail to me. I guess I'll just add it to my pile of games waiting for another EBGames 2 or 3 for $10 trade-in deal sometime.
