Most of the current CAG MW2 players will be moving on to Black Ops so it's about time this thread was made. We will be retaining the same Game Nights as MW2, that being Wednesday and Friday night. This thread is solely for those interested in playing together in the multiplayer setting. Questions about single player and non-related discussions will be kept in the Gen Discussion thread, raistlin has made an excellent OP with tons of information available there.

As the game doesn't release until 11/9/10, this is just to get us started. A roster will be added at the bottom and maintained as we go along. OP will be updated/maintained as much as reasonably possible.

Additional Info: I hate quickscopers (hopefully fixed in BO), lag switchers, and 3-bar pings which negate any ability I have to knife...hopefully that is fixed as well. And we shall not forget, killing my entire team while being escorted in CTF....that's probably my favorite.


As a side note: I will not be taking the 9th off to get a jump start on it....sorry, but I have something going on the 12th that already requires me missing a day of work that week.

It is when Mad says "will someone..." that he is really pissed at us. I usually dont shoot things down unless I get killed so I can switch classes. Everyone should have an anti air class, and if you dont, then make sure you are guarding the anti air person because of flankers...

not sure if he's really pissed but I do the same...switch class, die, get out anti-air, die from being flanked, giggle at more requests for someone to shoot it down, respawn, fire a missle that ends up being 2 seconds late because someone else got it.

That's why I try to run either OMA or have a stinger packed. :)

I don't like waiting to be killed because I don't believe in giving away kills or having them herd me when I respawn. I think people fail to understand that taking something out before they flank you is probably more important than dying as they flank you, respawning to be flanked as you're taking out air and then finally getting the opportunity when you're respawned on the other side of the map to take out the air. Just food for thought.

Lately the Harrier's dodging Stingers has evolved into complete and utter BS. Part of the reason why multiple people have to take it down, blech. I'm looking forward to things being more balanced with Black Ops by far, especially with the SAM Turrets.

honestly i'm pretty tempted just because everyone else is getting it. i may bite later. My thinking is do the MW2 trade in for $30 then wait until it's on sale for $40 at BB. I'll be a little late to the party but I'll be laughing all the wway to the bank.
 
hey guys if any of you are going to be on early tues morning. i am hoping on after i pick it up at midnight so maybe if we have enough the cag's on we can dp a short little practice session before Wed BFGN
 
Why do i get the feeling that WEd. BFGN is going to turn into a comedy of errors. ? either way it should really be fun.
 
I'll be picking this up hopefully as soon as Kmart opens Tuesday. I have two on Staten Island and one in Avenel right across the bridge. As soon as I get my two copies(Hardened and regular) and the two games to go with it, I'll be running home to play. As long as somebody is party leader with the game types we want to play opened(ie: sufficiently leveled) we should be good if it follows the MW2 initial non-Prestige level requirements for multiplayer games.

Comedy of errors sounds about right though, I'm hoping for some awesome CTF matches but I wouldn't count on anything solid until next week in terms of actual competition like we've experienced in the past given the new COD cash system.
 
I ordered it with amazon release date delivery, but I'm crazy busy this week so I may miss the first two game days. But after that, its on.

Atleast I'll have one person to play with. We might need a seperate zombies thread.

Couldn't resist...amazon has the PS3 hardened edition back in stock so I ordered that. Still planning on picking up a standard version tomorrow morning from Kmart.

Pardon the interruption, but I just saw the scroll on G4 and it said someone robbed a Gamestop of 100 copied of Black Ops, game systems, and cash. Didn't that happen last year with MW2 as well?
 
Friend requests going out tonight, I updated the OP roster list and added a section for Zombies and a section based on experience. I went the strict black and white route, so if there's any issues, PM or reply, I'll adjust as necessary. It's not a "ranking" that will be held against anybody nor will it matter at all beyond what you all decide to submit.
