So i Started Playing my N64 again and i was wondering if you guys have any good starter (or restarter) games i should try out these are the ones i have havent played many of them so i wanna know what i should be on the lookout for:
Starfox64
Goldeneye 007
Mario Party
pokemon Stadium
Perfect Dark

Also is it worth getting a rumble pak since i saw one at a thrift store

I loved Pilot Wings 64, it was a blast at the time, probably not as good now but fun for awhile at least. Also if you can get your hands on a copy, Harvest Moon 64 was really addictive. Of course Ocarina of Time and if your really into Zelda, Majora's Mask. Pretty mixed reviews of that game, people either seem to really love it or really hate it. Donkey Kong 64 was pretty good as well as Super Smash Brothers. Of course Mario 64 if you never played it, also Mario Kart 64 was a big step up from Super Mario Kart. Another fun one was Wave Race. I don't know, pretty much any first party Nintendo 64 game was a blast. I remember really loving Jet Force Gemini too, kind of a weird action adventure alien shooter game. And while on Rare games, Banjo Kazooie, but that can be had on Xbox Live now too. That should give you somewhere to start.

Like mentioned before, Zelda(both), Mario Kart 64, and of course, Super Mario 64, still one of my favorite games ever.

Doom 64. I played it a hell of a lot more than the first two PC versions.

Well many of the ones I was thinking of were already named. I would throw in Star Wars Rogue Squadron and Jet Force Gemini.

If I think of more I will definitely come back here and post.

You should try to find Body Harvest. Pretty much a sandbox game with lots of vehicles to drive and fly. And a shitload of alien bugs to KILLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!

Tomb Raider? That is definitely not a n64 game

My favorite games would have to be: Fighting Force 64, Gauntlet Legends, Jet Force Gemini, Legend of Zelda: Orcania of Time and Majora's Mask, Mario Kart, Mario 64, Mega Man 64, Paper Mario, Perfect Dark, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium, Star Fox 64, Star Wars Shadow of the Empire, Super Smash Bros, and 007: Golden Eye.

The games people have listed so far are really good, but it seems to be lacking in racing and sports games so here's a few more.

1. The Cruis'n series (USA, World, and Exotica): All fun over the top arcade style racers
2. 1080 Snowboarding: Like SSX for the PS2
3. Road Rash 64
4. Excitebike 64
5. Yoshi's Story: If you enjoyed Yoshi's Island for the SNES or DS you will enjoy this
6. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2: Best in the skating games series
7. Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey: Good arcade style (not realistic) hockey game
8. NFL Blitz: Another good arcade style game

lol, did I say Tomb Raider?? What was I thinking!

I don't know for some reason I thought I remembered Tomb Raider.

I was going to name Mega Man and Fighting Force though too, nice list.

I agree with everything you said, except I never played Road Rash 64 and for me, Yoshi's Story was a major let down. Night and Day compared to Yoshi's Island. But hey, to each is own. I liked Tetrisphere and Hexen 64. Plus, I wasted $80 on War Gods @ Walmart, so make fun of me all you want!

Oh man this reminds me so much of a friend of mine. He bought War Gods when it came out, and would swear up and down what a great game it was. We all would make fun of him for playing that junk, would point out the shitty reviews, but through it all, he kept saying it was good. He suffered playing it over and over to try and justify his purchase. About a year or two ago, we were all talking about crappy games we played throughout the years, and he finally admited the game sucked ass and he just played it to try and redeem his mistake in some way. Good times.

I was 16-17 at the time. N64 was new and I was starved for games.
I spent $80 on War Gods and then $80 on Turok.
