CAGiversary!
Gonna be out in cali for the first time EVER! wondering if theres any spots a fellow gamer should hit while im out there? also looking to do alittle shopping, any places worth eatting at and shopping, on a low buget, 500$ max. thanks ahead guys!

California is bigger than some countries. Where exactly are you going?

Definitely go to In and Out Burger, they are scattered throughout the state.

Since it's your 1st time here, you should do the traditional tourist thing, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Hollywood, Olvera Street (which is where Los Angeles began); this is all assuming you're visiting So Cal. If not, then disregard this post and do as the poster above me said and go to In-N-Out :p

Hah... sucker.

Anyways; Griffith Observatory is a good time killer if you're into science. Los Angeles County Museum of Art if you're into art. Avoid downtown LA like the plague. Go to Catalina if you can afford the trip.

As for food I recently ate at Slaters 50/50. 50% ground beef and 50% ground bacon burgers. A meat for the gods.

Go to In and Out, some arcade (they're closer to Japan and Hawaii so they have better 'cades than the midwest), don't forget Game Dude. And also Frys.

Fontana sucks. I grew up near there. Epitome of Inland Empire hell. Grab an In-N-Out burger and wait it out. And try not to get murdered.
Do yourself a favor and skip SoCal altogether. NorCal is where its at!
NorCal baby!
If you're going to San Jose... DON'T go to the "Great (FAIL) Mall of the Bay Area".
I found that mall to be overwhelming.

Grab yourself some Taco Truck, go to Arcade Infinity and then haul some ass to San Fran for some slightly erotic playtime.

Disneyland is awesome this time of year because it's pretty darned quiet the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I agree about Griffith Observatory - it's a geek paradise.

Also, there's a GREAT art museum called the Getty outside of Santa Monica which is beautiful, incredible and FREE!.

In & Out is amazing, but try to get to El Pollo Loco as well. It's darned tasty, and (like In & Out) you can't find it many other places.
