Was at the Target in Easton, MD and it had a "repackaged" (returned?) sticker on it along with the clearance sticker. It's a 320gb PS3 Move/Sports Bundle on for only $280. Obviously this is EXTREMELY YMMV, but if they had it at one there's a chance it'll be at others. It was there at this location about 2 hours ago and the store was pretty empty of costumers.

Here's hoping somebody lives close enough to Easton to take advantage of it! Either way now I know to keep a look out for stuff like this at other Targets.

Edit: Yes I know there's a Target clearance thread I post there all the time... But thought this definitely deserved it's own thread even though it's so YMMV. Even if only one person goes to the Easton Target and gets the system it was worth it.

I don't think returned products that are repackaged should get their own thread, nor do I understand your logic in saying 'if they had it at one there's a chance it'll be at others.'

Repackaged =/= clearance.

No, it literally had a clearance sticker on it. I did not know they even did it, I thought they just sent them back to the manufacturer if it was reopened. So, if they do indeed sometimes just resell them at a clearance price that would mean other stores would as well.

And as I said, even if ONE person lives close enough to Easton, MD to make the trip then the thread is worth it. That's over a $100 off retail price.

Got my hopes up thinking the 320GB Move bundle was on clearance. :(

At my local Targets, repackage/returned items have their own unique sticker (red and white) different from clearance items (solid red sticker). These items are placed next to the clearance items.

Sorry I edited the title to specifically say "Easton, MD" to try and avoid confusion.

I'd just rather a CAG get it then some smug-ass soccer Mom who goes around bragging to her family how she's such a good shopper or somebody who's just going to flip it (though that doesn't mean a CAG wouldn't flip it either).
dude most caggers here would just resell it, i know i would if i find one, lmao
Define "most" nub?

IMHO, I think it was good for the OP to post if only for a CAG in his local area who's looking for a PS3. *shrug*

The repackage and clearance stickers are the same now, at least where I work. That is a pretty low price after repackage though. It's weird that it was repackaged. At guest service we are defecting most of the returned consoles. Even unopened consoles are taken out and inspected. It's definitely YMMV. Although we do have a repackaged psp go for 199.91 or 199.01. o_O

I know, I shouldn't have said that. I was going to go back and edit it before I saw you replied, lol. Either way I'd rather a CAG flip it then somebody else get it. Shoot if I had the extra cash I'd probably just flip it too.

Guess I shouldn't say that really though... I once had an extra Wii that I put up on Ebay for retail during the holiday rush a few years back.

Got my friend a 320gb move bundle for $280 shipped on ebay. Seller said it was refurbished, looked like it was never even used and none of the stuff inside was opened and the system looked brand new. Dropped it off last night and hooked it up, should of bought another for myself and sold my 120gb slim.

Repackaged means it was a return, and target marks it down (usually 30%). They're not supposed to be repackaged and should have been sent back. This thread should be closed.

But it WASN'T sent back and it IS there so... You're saying it should be closed and prevent somebody who's close enough from picking it up?

Well ok, a little selfish but...

I say keep it open and if it dies it dies. I fixed the topic to be much more clear on what it is so there should be no more confusion.
Wow this thread is full of fail.

It's not even a regional or YMMV deal. It's both micro-regional AND extremely YMMV.
It would only be full of fail if I billed as anything other then what it is. I saw how it would be confusing so I edited it to make it less so. If it's sooooo "fail" it will be closed. Wow, not even sure what to say.

Honestly I could care less. Thought I'd do somebody a favor and post this up if somebody was close enough...and to let others know that sometimes Target DOES keep opened items to clearance out.

I'll leave it in the mods/community's hands now... no more posting in it for me.

If you thought you'd do some a favor close you should have put it in regional. I HATE that I'm bumping this but seriously...

Its such a great deal for that one system only in the one store that you saw it in, you posted it in CAG instead of buying it. Nice job.

My Girlfriend's brother and sister in law lives out there... I've been to that target...it's "OK", but I am not going to be driving 90+ minutes for a repack that *might* be damaged...remember Target GS people don't know jack about checking out hardware compared to geek squad. You don't know if the unit is a dead unit or missing the hard drive......I can see someone taking advantage of a target in a small town like Easton.

Price drops on clearance isn't that great either at that location. It's really a Buyer Beware situation.
