Band of Brothers UK
Band of Brothers US

After watching this set NOT drop lower since last year around this time, I'm finally picking it up. This is the lowest it has ever been, so if you've been on the fence like me, now is the time to pick it up.

Well I have this on DVD. I am thinking of upgrading to blu-ray on this then selling my DVD copy. Is this worth an updgrade? If I were to sell my DVD copy I could probably get around $23. Is it worth about $15 more for the blu ray?

From what I've read, the DNR comes and goes and isn't as bad as some make it out to be. The HD-DVD release is better I'm sure, but the Blu will be just as good for many people. At a thread where someone did a comparison between the two, many couldn't even seen the differences there.

high-def digest gave it a 4/5 for video: http://bluray.highde...ofbrothers.html
Blu-ray.com gives it a 5/5: http://www.blu-ray.c...s-Blu-ray/1151/

I guess I won't see any differences on my HD ready LCD. I've already watched it on DVD and quality was very good.

Looks like it's nearly $10 cheaper through Amazon UK: http://slickdeals.ne...ction-vol-16-30

Yep, just saw that; will update OP.

Even though it's cheaper, I'm glad I got the US version since it cost me nothing using some trade credit from flips.

Bit on the Band of Brothers UK version, since its basically the same for me as long as they play. Not to return my DVD copy to my dad, which I borrowed for this past year.

Now playing: Bloodborne (PS4), Battlefield Hardline (XB1), Pokemon Omega Ruby (3DS), The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (Wii U), The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (3DS), The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (3DS), Skylanders: Giants (360), Pokemon Shuffle (3DS), Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (PS4), Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
