PS2 GameStop trade-in value?

I have one of the old "chunky" PS2 models, and I've been thinking about trading it in to GS and buying a new Slim. I was wondering if anybody knew how much GS would give me for the system and a multi-tap. I'm hoping to get at least $20-$30 for it, but I don't know how much it's worth.

I'm not sure they even take phat's in anymore. All I've ever seen for years in GS has been slims.

Ya, keep it for about five to ten years, then pull it down out of the attic. You will be glad you did when you rediscover all of your older classics.

If you really want a slim, its probably best to give away the phat PS2 to a younger cousin or donate it to the Salvation Army/Goodwill.
Might as well keep it, no console deserves to be sold that cheap.
Unless you are completely broke and desperate for a new system. Then of course, if you are completely broke then maybe you shouldn't have bought a PS2 in the first place and maybe you don't really need a new system. I'm not faulting or blaming the OP for anything at all. He simply asked a question and has nothing to be accused of. I'm not accusing anyone on this thread of being irresponsible. I just don't understand why people buy games and systems at full MSRP and later sell them for pennies on the dollar for trade-ins for the hottest new game. It seems someone who would do such a thing is financially irresponsible.
