TheGiveAway.com

For kicks I decided to try for the Kindle after a certain amount of time they have a captcha come up. I don't know if it's legit or not.

Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle is up now.

I could see how it works. I mean there's a couple ads and you see them twice through each attempt. With every try they could rack up the cash with lots of people viewing the ads which make the prizes pay for themselves and the website guys makes a decent profit. Its probably just a random time or after a set amount of clicks the next click becomes a winner.

Even better they set it for how many clicks it will take for the ads to be viewed over a set amount of time that way to make back the profit and oh yeah...

just stopping by to comment on thegiveaway.com. I'm actually friends with the guys who started this site and came across this forum when I did a google search on their website to see where their page ranking was. Not sure if you guys have visited the site lately, but they are still giving some pretty good stuff away. The reason for the captcha is because hackers had already started using a bot to auto click and they wanted to keep it fair for everyone so they added the captcha after 30 clicks. From what I understand there is an algorithm that randomly selects a number of clicks between the dates set on the website. This is legit though...just four guys in Louisville, KY that came up with this website. They are funding the prizes themselves while they wait for some sponsors to jump on board to start donating the prizes. They have some pretty big plans for the website, so hopefully it takes off. At first they were getting only local clicks, which is why they were able to film a few people receiving their gifts. The plan is to get the sponsors on board to donate the prizes and then generate money off of ad revenue. This site could flouish or fail, only time will tell, but on their behalf, thank you for at least spreading the word. Again...no strings attached.

Cool thanks for the info, you should tell them to add more video game related prizes. Maybe some games on there too.

I am the president and founder of TheGiveAway.com and I can say without a doubt that it is the real deal. There are absolutely no gimmicks, no spam email, we don't resell your information. As spanktastic said, a winner is automatically chosen at random between the start and end times listed on the giveaway. If you are the winner, you enter your shipping information and we get your prize out the door asap. You will see more gaming related giveaways. We gave away a PS3 Move bundle, XBOX 360 Kinect bundle, and Wii Sports bundle within the last week: http://www.thegiveaway.com/previous

Please give our site a try and help spread the word. You could literally win any time you click the "Get It Free" button. The more that people play, the more we'll give away.

Chad

Do you guys have any suggestions for stuff you would personally like to see given away on thegiveaway.com?
Do you guys have any suggestions for stuff you would personally like to see given away on thegiveaway.com?
I'd suggest maybe popular game give aways ie Call of Duty Black Ops, Halo, etc. etc.

Other than that maybe have them do just the $100 Move bundle (eyetoy, move controller and game) or controllers/accessories too.

Yeah, maybe some smaller prizes more often? Games every couple hours instead of something rather big every 12 hours.

Just like my giveaways, I keep it small items and then break out the big items when I fulfill enough income (wish I had great resources like they do).

Try gift cards and Blu-rays and of course mix it up with the latest and hottest video games.

I would like to suggest an app or a mobile version of the site if possible. I like your site so much that I want to play on the go also. While the regular site works fine on my phone, a mobile one would just be nice.

I've noticed that either the same people have won multiple prizes or people with the same name have won, since the site is so new, I'm guessing they're the same people. There should be a rule that says one win per week/month/90 days or something because I just missed the Kindle by a couple seconds to the same person (again I'm guessing) who won the 360 Bundle a few days ago. Also the same person won two prizes in a row, so either they're sitting they're pushing the button like it's going out of style, they're botting, or they're just damn lucky.

Spot on point!
whens the best time to click "Get it Free" I was thinking of trying a few minutes before it ends.
Nope... happens randomly and I can confirm!

I finally won and am very stoked =)

Pictures of the prize when you get it. I've now missed my third prize by seconds. I know this because you get a message that says this prize was won less than a minute ago by so-and-so. I guess I'll keep trying and see what happens.

Wow, seriously though, right before the Dispicable Me giveaway started I missed the Panasonic 22" LCD by a minute!

Waiting patiently... Once you win you can check your profile and it has a break down of the items you have won along with shipping details.

Good luck!

Also, I would like to see mens Watches (Lacoste, Burberry, Tissot, etc), I love watches!

It would be cool to sometimes do a game on steam or something... things are cheaper than a lot of other prizes you guys gave away...

Yeah, I guess Microsoft points/Nintendo points/PlayStation network cards would be good, too. BTW, I missed out on another one by under a minute. Curse my luck.

This system truly is random, so it would be difficult for back to back winners. I missed the Wii Fit and then the Wii Bundle went so quickly... Stupid captcha delayed my clicks!

@binici Would love to get confirmation when you actually receive your prize. I like the idea of the website but I have trouble believing it. Thanks

I know what you mean. I too was sceptecal and still am because they were suppose to update my winnings list with a tracking # and other info, but that has not happened yet?

The one thing I am interested in is how the random selection occurs. (database, web application, etc.)

We'll find out soon enough...

Thank you guys for your feedback. The guys at thegiveaway.com are aware of your interest in their site and have taken note of your suggestions.

Hey Binici, did you get your prize yet?

Sure did! I was actually going to post on the facebook, so everyone here can check out the item I received.

Thanks, but I am afraid that it is going to be difficult to win now with more and more people using the site... =(

I just won Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare last night, I went to the site to see what they had and decided I'd click the win it button and sure enough first click it said I had won.

I'm going to be getting the game on 360, oddly though they haven't e-mailed me yet to see what system I want the game for.

Check your spam filter. They emailed me when I won Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, but I had to search for it to find it.

My girlfriend won the Coach bag that same night prior to the RDR giveaway. I have taken the picture of the item that I received. Seems they purchase through Amazon and will update your shipping info within 48 hrs.
i dont think i will ever win on there some people will click that button all night lol..
I litterally clicked over a thousand times for the ipod nono & I'm not exagerating >_>

I clicked it maybe 30 times. Just depends on how lucky you are. ;)

For the record, everyone who keeps saying "someone won something by less than a minute!" without actually checking the site, it ALWAYS says "less than a minute ago". I checked the site and it said that the previous winner had been less than a minute ago; 15 minutes later, it said the same thing.

I'm not claiming that the site isn't legit, but I am claiming that that part of it isn't.

We are working on correcting the "less than a minute" issue. It is actually a technical bug related to the page caching on the web server that we had to implement with the higher volume of traffic we are receiving. We should be rolling out a fix soon that just shows the exact date and/or date time.

I was up off & on all night trying to win this too lmao I think it litterally lands on a minute, because I watched the seconds count down to the next minute on my clock on the pc,and as soon as it hit the next minute I clicked it & won :D

Wow...sounds like you guys are cleaning up. I'm very excited to hear this. Obviously, getting people to believe that this site is legitimate is the biggest hurdle because we've always been told that nothing in life is free. This website is doing a good job disproving that notion. And because of you guys, this website is able to stay alive. Your testimonials help legitimize everything it is that thegiveaway.com is trying to do. You guys discovered this website at it's infant stages and because of you we are able to grow.

All we ask is that you guys continue to play and please please please spread the word via facebook, blogs, emails, etc. The more people that participate, the better the prizes will be. Eventually we would like to get some major sponsors on board and then the prizes will get even better. Thank you once more for participating and continue to spread the word.

We are doing our part! I just wish the shipping info/details would be updated sooner...

I have been telling everyone I know. I also asked them to be sure to click and check out the ads on your pages, I don't know much about it, but I assume it can only help your website grow with each user who will click on the ads.
