no new releases that week!?!?! Seems like someone would want to get a game out on ps3 before lbp2 comes out.
DC Universe Online is supposed to drop next week, just appears to be absent in the ads I guess.

Man, that's disappointing.. Doesn't look like there's anything to use my reward certificates on by the 14th. Damn you TRU!!!
Maybe I can flush out my 45 bucks into KH Re:coded copies, and flip em somewhere. Still going to have to deal with TRU gift card expiration though.

Got games, but no time
Posted 09 January 2011 - 02:32 PM
That's typical though. They're not running any sales, and their videogame sections have not been fully restocked from the Holidays. So, you end up buying nothing but msrp stuff, if you want to use them before they expire.

Any clearance video game accessories worth mentioning anyone?
Not really. I was there yesterday, and did not see anything at the 50% that they keep mentioning. Of course it's up to 50%, so most things are at either 10-20% off msrp. It's just typical marketing BS.

That is disappointing. To me, clearance should be 50% off.
No hate to TRU, I have made a nice profit off of them this last year. I say profit, more like I was able to make enough money by flipping stuff to pay for most of my own stuff!

You feel foolish? My wife wanted it right away for Kinect, we paid $99!!! We got a $20 Amazon credit, but it still hurts. Especially since she stopped playing it after 2 weeks.Man, what is with EA Sports Active 2? Dropping like a rock. I paid $60 and feel foolish.

I got one last week and they expire in July so you have plenty of time to spend it.

Some of the cards that were obtained earlier (around black friday for me) expire on 1/31. I know a few people here got their giftcards with AC Brotherhood and/or NFS HP.

I'm thinking about getting it for PS3. Is it just no good? Is that why she stopped? Or was it like most exercise plans in that people just don't want to keep doing them after a while?

Zero. They don't price match. What are my chances of GameStop retroactively matching the PS3 gift card deal? Bought my PS3 there last Sunday.

Anyone get an adjustment on a prior purchase?
Did last week for the 360s...initially paid with a gift card and cash. I brought the receipt and empty box back, stood in customer service line.
I got a "refund" then rebought and got a $50 GC.

Probably been asked a million times, but will Best Buy match a gift card deal? A TRU card does nothing for me, but one from BB adds nicely to my growing pile of certs and cards.
It depends on the people who work at your BB. Their official policy is to PM gift cards and subtract the value of the GC from the item, but some employees are bastards and enjoy shooting you down.

- 14 days for computers, monitors, projectors, camcorders, digital cameras, iPads, tablets and radar detectors
- 30 days for all other products
I don't see PS3 listed in the 14 day policy
