Being a huge fan of Trials HD on the 360, I'm beyond excited for RedLynx's upcoming WiiWare title MotoHeroz and the trailer looks great:

The game is now scheduled for release in June 2011!

I'll update this thread whenever we get a release date, and perhaps with other info as it comes out.

Red Lynx's page for this game: http://www.redlynx.com/index.php?id=520&productId=111

Key Features:
- Simple but effective physics deliver an addictive gaming experience
- Single player story mode with memorable characters and rich visuals
- Four player party mode that is easy for anyone to pick up and play
- Ghost race against any time from any track in the game
- Global and Friend-based Leader Boards let gamers compete against each other
- New type of daily competition with new tracks and Leader Boards opening each day
- Steady 60 FPS, widescreen support, and blazing fast load times
- 100+ tracks, four cars, and many game modes equals tons of fun!

Controls: according to RedLynx the game does *not* use motion control, rather using the buttons on a WiiMote, and even better with a classic controller. No word yet on if Gamecube controllers are supported.

The game reminds me LittleBigPlanet on ATV's for some reason. Without the building aspect, of course. Seems like fun, though.

Definitely interested in this game. Keep us updated crunchewy.

Global and Friend-based Leader Boards let gamers compete against each other (I would be up for playing online with others if its possible)

A glowing preview from IGN: http://wii.ign.com/articles/115/1154121p1.html

"It has the same addictive, endearing qualities as many of the concepts we've seen come from Shigeru Miyamoto and his team over the past 25 years."

This game is sounding fantastic!

I also added a new gameplay video to the OP, provided by IGN.

EDIT: I also added 5 more previews to the OP, two in Japanese, though.

I've now played quite a bit and so have my kids. The game is pretty awesome and is definitely worth the asking price. The party mode is great, but so are the online challenges. I especially like that you can select a player to show as a ghost, so you can work your way up the leader board chasing somebody just a bit above you. It's a really fantastic game.

Did anyone else buy this? I hope this game does well, but I'm sure being on WiiWare is going to make it a tough sell. That's really a shame if so as it's a really solid game. If anyone else does buy it, let's set up a "buddy league" to compete on. Easy peasy - no friend code required. Just a league name and password (password might be optional - I'm not sure yet).

I bought this a while ago and have been playing a few campaign races here and there. It's fun, but I definitely don't have the motion control down, nor do I have the forwards to backwards driving and vice/versa. I'd be up for the buddy league. My tag in the game is: Shinobi

Thanks for creating the thread. I don't think I'd know about too much about the game if it wasn't for your thread.

Motion control? The only motion control is shaking to right yourself if you flip over. You don't lean back and forth to control the cars - it's purely button controlled. So if you are trying to control the car by tipping the remote, well there's your problem. ;) :)

I need to double check my name, but I think it's "Crunc". I've mostly been playing it multiplayer with my kids of late, but will get back to the online races now. This game is super fun played multiplayer, especially with 3 or 4 people.

Feel free to join the Buddy League I set up for friends on 8bitbrigade.com. There aren't too many of them that play the Wii, though, so it's pretty sparse. :) If it weren't for my kids, there'd only be two of us. Yeah, my two boys are in it too, though mostly only my 8 year old. Anyway, it's "8-bit". Join it!

Ha, thanks. I thought I had to tilt the controller in the air to nose down/up. That's what I get for not reading the instructions.

I'll try to join your league this weekend. Thanks again!
