xbl dashboard is having a sale thing again in order to get you to link your cc with your gamertag. if you buy a month for a dollar via dashboard they'll give you the maw and aqua free. takes 4-6 weeks.
 
for these kind of deals, when they do this, do they send you codes for the games? or do they just unlock them on your account?
 
i think this only works for people on there 1month free trial when u 1st sign up because i got the same thing last month when i did it and to get the games it takes 6-8weeks and i guess they probally send a code of the games to your email or somethin still waiting for the maw and Snoopy flying ace from last months so dont expect onces u buy it u get the games..
 
the small text on the bottom of last month said 6-8 ;) and even when i check for the other deal thats going on for 12 months plus 2 games for 39.99 also says the same..

I locked my price in at $39.99 last year when they had that deal and I see the same deal on my dashboard even though it just renewed. It's not a bad deal to stack onto my current year, but I'll probably hold off. Trying to do two deals at a time sometimes gets complicated with Microsoft.

On some people's dashboards, they have a deal where if they use their credit card to buy a month of XBL, they will eventually get 2 games free after some time. The only down-side is that they have to call up Microsoft before their paid month of Gold (to get the deal) runs out so that Microsoft does not automatically charge their card again to renew their membership for the next month.

On my silver account (the one I dont use) I see the deal, but on my normal account I just see the family pack deal with the 2 games...so I guess you have to be a current silver member it seems to get the deal.

I recently redeemed a 1-month Gold prepaid code (so I was already Gold), and yesterday I was offered $1 for 1-Month but no games on the dashboard. After I bought the $1 for 1-Month, the Family Pack offer with 2 free games and an extra month showed back up (it was what was showing before I saw the $1 for 1-Month yesterday).

My silver accounts are only offered the $39.99 12-Month membership with two free games.

I suppose they have different offers for random people.

After reading this I was hoping to find the $39.99 + 2 games (which I've not seen at all). When I powered on my system earlier there hadn't been any offers and the best I can find online with shipping was $48. I restarted my 360 to see if anything else showed up and this time under 'spotlight' was a 'your subscription is about to run out' panel with an offer for 40% off ($36.99). I bit.

The panel then changed to a 'Get $25 off 2 years' which works out to be about the same as what I just bought for 1 year. It's weird how many different offers everybody gets.
