Is it impossible to find ME 1 & 2 without scratches?

Kiros1

CAGiversary!
I live in a small town in Oregon and the Gamestop in town has two copies of ME1 used and 1 copy of ME2 used. The problem is, they look like someone used them as a toy for a small cat. I know I could just buy them online, but I'm trying to get them cheap.

Just seems odd, as I thought Gamestop has a policy about the condition of the discs.

Try checking the CAG marketplace. All of the games I bought/traded have come in meticulous condition, and they're usually cheaper than GS. good luck!

Thanks, I could always give it a shot. Haven't bought a game from the marketplace here yet, so it wouldn't hurt to try.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha ... hahahahahahaha

Sorry -- but seriously, GS stores around here will take your game disc without even checking they work. I've seen some games there that look like they were sent through a grinder.

If you're really big on the condition of the games, buy them from half, amazon, and ebay -- and before you bid, make sure you ask the seller about the condition (yes, even if they list it as "like new"); if you explain that you've been burned before, they'll be a lot less likely to tell you something untrue. If they don't respond to you, then don't bid/buy their item.

Your perspective is wrong. This thread should be entitled "Is it impossible to find a used game at Gamestop without scratches?"

I'm fairly certain my $10 still-sealed ME2 doesn't have any scratches.

ME 2 has been less then $10 quite a few times brand new.

I haven't looked into the original lately but it is a PH so it shouldn't be to expensive.

Mass Effect 2 is $14.99 used at Blockbuster if you can find it OP and you may get lucky and even get one with an unused Cerberus Network code.;)

But buying from GS and expecting good condition games is like 'dating' a prostitute. You know you're taking a chance on catching something and if you try for long enough you likely will.

You might also want to check into Gamefly, GoHastings or FYE for better condition stuff.

Mass Effect 2 was 10 bucks last week at Walmart. I was able to pick it up. Just keep an eye on the deals forum and you won't have to deal with used copies.

They're $17.99 at Gamestop. They both retail for $19.99. You can't be serious.
