I called that shit the minute I heard he was going to speak. COuldn't have been about anything else considering it would be about nat'l security and they were given 1 hour notice and not about Libya.

I could not believe when my sister told me that bin Laden is dead. I told her,"No, they news probably meant Gaddafi's son is dead." I tuned in to NBC and I could not believe my eyes.

I don't know about y'all but I want to know how this happened, and to see video footage if possible.
 
When I heard "national security", I thought this would be about the Sony hacker.

This is great and all but this won't end terrorism, sadly. I'm not going to believe this 100% until I see a body or Obama confirms it.

BTW, Obama was suppose to speak at 10:30 and it's 11 now. What's going on?

I usually read my news on BBC; the breaking news banner didn't show up on the site until after 5 minutes I turned on the TV. I checked Fox News, Aljazeera, and MSNBC and of course they only have a very small amount of text regarding this breaking story.
 
After a decade of trying I don't see how anyone could get too excited about this. I'm sure former president Bush gave a "yee haw!" upon hearing the news.

Yeah, if Bid Laden turned up alive, everyone would hate Obama for lying. So I doubt the operation took place yesterday. Then again...there were images of that explosion where that chopper crashed so...I dunno. I just don't see how they got the DNA testing done so fast, nor do I see how they took his body and dumped in the ocean so fast.

But honestly, if I was Obama, I might have lied about there being a firefight since it makes Bin Laden out to be a martyr. Probably should've said something like 'he tried to avoid capture, so we pegged him.'
