I really enjoy this series and saw there was no thread for it, so I created one.

In 2006, film student Alex Kralie began work on his first feature-length film. Titled Marble Hornets, it was about a guy returning to his childhood home after a lengthy absence. Kralie and his friends were rather excited about working on it. After two months of on-and-off shooting, Kralie suddenly canceled the project, claiming it to be due to "unworkable conditions." Jay, his friend, asked him what he was going to do with the tapes. Kralie replied flatly:"Burn them."After much arm-twisting, Jay persuaded Kralie to at least give him the tapes, to which Kralie agreed under the condition that they were never mentioned to him again. Kralie transferred to an out-of-state school, never speaking to Jay or anyone else again. Jay, spooked by Kralie's comments, filed the tapes away and forgot about them. Until July 2009. - tvtropes.com

and small blurb from Roger Ebert
“Marble Hornets,” a YouTube serial. A forsaken indie film meets “Paranormal.”

This is probably one of the best series based on the slender man currently being produced.

Here are some other good series relating to the slender man

its been posted before in a thread i just cant recall which one. it was a pretty cool series definelty started out cool enough i hated the ending though big letdown after such a cool beginning. i really liked the thin man he reminded me of the phantasm tall man but without the personality since he never talks.

They had a small break but they started making videos for it again late last year. Season two is pretty good, especially entry 35.

Yeah it was posted in the Halloween scary movie thread but I felt like giving it it's own thread.

My boyfriend introduced me to Marble Hornets a couple months back. I'm a few episodes behind (I think I'm one episode beyond the "birthday" video), but I hear the latest entry had a nice payoff. It's hard to bring myself to watch these alone, so maybe I'll wait until this weekend to catch up.

Great series, but I just hate how long it can take between some of the entries. Waiting something like three weeks for the next one is not fun.

Someone posted this many months ago and I gotta say, it freaked me out. I had to take a break when it got to the entry where he goes into that dudes house late at night.

Didn't know there was a season 2. Thanks for the heads up, I gotta watch those!

Yeah the latest entry had a really good payoff at the end. Left me shutting down my computer.

Yeah those videos in the house freaked me out.

I was the one who posted the original Marble Hornets intro vid back around Halloween. I forgot how I found out about it (it was probably from tvtropes) but I got sucked it once I saw the original youtube vids. I watched in the middle of a sunny day and was still creeped out, and I was really paranoid that night going to sleep.

I've checked out all the series and read all the blogs dealing with it. It's some fun stuff.

Heh, funny this thread popped up now, seeing as how I watched all the videos for the first time yesterday. I love these found footage type things, they're the only section of horror that can scare me anymore.

I've been going back and forth about weather or not I want the first "season" on DVD.

It has cool packaging and the commentary was pretty funny, but they never talk about the ark responses. But overall I would say skip it, the video quality is better than the youtube, but honestly 15 dollars, IMO, is a little too high for the entire package.

Thanks man, you got me hooked on the series all those months ago. I've watched everything there is and I even own the Season 1 DVD.

Season 2 isn't nearly as great as season 1, but it's definitely got it's moments. Especially the newest entry.

Yeah, I remember that back around Halloween. It really was a treat to see these then, really set the mood.

The first season of this was great. Can't find a particular entry
WHere I think it's Alex and some girl sitting in an apartment, tall dude shows up, and they scream or whatever
.

Second season isn't as good because the first was so realistic in its subtlety, while season two is overkill with the plot.

dude owes the other guy twenty bucks so they have a supernatural fight?

the main thing that creeped me out was the audio and video effects. I don't know why but that stuff always gets me.
That's the last entry of season 1
Okay, it was Entry 26. Still freaks me out. How Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity got such buzz and this has always remained pretty obscure blows my mind.
I started watching this awhile ago.

Starts out great, but eventually it lost my interest.
You know what keeps my interest?
