Oh man, there are two movies on that list I would get, Scott Pilgrim and Inglorious Bastards. I may take a drive to a local BBV, but I can't stand those generic cases!

Wow, what a great list! So many movies on that list that are great! Definitely going to be at Blockbuster on tuesday! Hopefully they actually have even half those in store.
I hope they change this and have it open to everyone on Tuesday.
all you'll need to get the deal on tuesday is some "password" that they'll post on their twitter, whenever they post it on their twitter im sure tons of people will post it here on CAG, thus no problem.

cool. hope your right about that.

Finally, a decent Blu Ray used sale at BB. I've been eyeballing Moon for a while now and waiting for it to drop below $9.99. Might have to go pick that up along with a few others. What's the deal with this password nonsense? Do you have to get the password and then give it to the employee at the store? I would understand if this is an online sale, but what do you need a password for an in-store sale for?

Supposedly yes, it's given out in emails to people who follow them on Facebook/twitter but from what's been posted, you shouldn't have to give them one to take advantage of the sale.

Good deal, I was going to pick up dark knight and mr. and mrs smith from best buy with trade in today but I guess i will wait till tuesday to see what deals are available first.
Do we get the blockbuster boxes or the real boxes? cause that's still deal breaker for me on a purchase.
blockbuster cases. You could always ask an employee if they have any spare blu cases. Or order some offline.

in my experience they never have the blu-ray cases, i asked once and the employee said that they just throw them out. So i guess you could do a little dumpster diving if you want.

WOW, no wonder they are going bankrupt. Stupid as hell decisions on their part as usual. another way to not attract all demographics.

Its probably policy to destroy the cases. Just like its policy to destroy discs at certain places if they dont sell after a closeout sale.

We've been talking about this sale lately in the BBV videogame thread. It's definitely worth posting here, but I just didn't think of it.

This may be a stupid question because I'm ignorant about these BBV 5 for $20 sales, but do you HAVE to buy movies in increments of 5 to get the sale price? For example, you can't buy 3 movies for $12? I assume you usually have to buy 5, but I'm looking for some clarification. :p

no you cannot. Ive tried this before on a 3 for $20 deals and its always regular price unless you buy the amount needed.

r u srs

Yeah, you will have to buy increments of 5 for the deal, at least this has been the case for video game sales before. Valid question though not all stores require you to buy 5 of an item for 5/$5 sales, etc.

Wow.

Well, in that case, I have to question what the point of purchasing these disc only movies is then. Might as well just pirate them. It's a deal breaker for me too.

Because they are cheap and you still get the cover art. I don't see why buying cases is such a hassle. People have posted links to get cases $1 a piece or cheaper. So in reality instead of $4 a blu your paying $5. Not a big deal. If you don't like it don't go.

I'm looking at I Love You Man, Ponyo, and Funny People so far. Unfortunately I just bought 500 Days of Summer off Amazon for 9.99 (such a good movie) and Scott Pilgrim on release date :(

 a case is a deal breaker and we might as well pirate them??? are you kidding??

just get a case for less than 50 cents when buying like 20 at a time from shop4tech.com or some place

Dont do that! Go ahead and skip blockbuster, that way someone else will have a better chance of buying a movie.

the password is PASSWORD :)

sadly there is not 5 movies i dont own, that I really want to own, on that list. I'll probably still go in the hopes that there are movies there that aren't listed, but we'll see...
Because they are cheap and you still get the cover art.
You do? Or is it just some photocopy? Honest question; I haven't shopped at Blockbuster in years.

Also do they still have those annoying stickers all over the discs? I hated buying used PS1 games with those things on 'em.

It's the original cover art in a DVD case and no stickers.

Its the real cover art. Its just there's a slip Andrew it to fill the leftover space. And shouldn't have stickers on the discs just case.
