Well damn, that sucks. I already have two of the three movies in each set, so it's not worth it for me to pick any of them up.

Edit: Oh, though Best Buy also has (Edit again: some of) the individual ones for $9.99 each. Not as good of a deal, but maybe time for me to pick up those remaining ones anyway (hm, wonder if I can combine this price with the DVD trade-in deal for any titles that overlap . . . ).

I wish they'd hurry up and get more of the Bond blu-rays released already.
 
IMHO, it's a better deal to buy the individual ones... if you care about being able to organize the Blu-rays by title, that is. These Volume sets are just plain annoying (and not as cool-looking as they could be) and the fact that they have the movies randomly grouped in cases bothers me. At least the DVD sets all had individual cases for each film.

If all of the movies had been released on Blu-ray maybe it wouldn't bother me so much... hear that MGM and 20th Century Fox? Release the other 9 movies on BD! And, heck, why not release the 1967 'Casino Royale' while you're at it!? ;)

Netted out to be $69.90 for six Bond movies (From Russia With Love / Dr. No / Thunderball / Live And Let Die / Die Another Day / For Your Eyes Only) and four other movies.

The rest of the movies are rumored to be coming out next year for the 50th anniversary of Dr. No, as well as the release of the next Bond movie in the fall of next year.

$9.99 is worth looking into for the single movies at this point.

Yeah, probably, though I suspect it will become a fairly common sale price for them soon. All of the ones that I don't have on blu-ray yet are ones that I had on DVD already, so I haven't been in a huge rush to upgrade. I plan to eventually, but not being able to get all of the movies on blu-ray anyway has taken a bit of the urgency out of it.

Most of them have PQ worthy of the upgrade from DVD, though there is some differences between the PQ of ones released to date.
 
I'm confused? Why are there only three movies per volume and only three volumes? I have the regular DVD sets of four volumes with like four or five movies in each volume.

The rest are sort of in limbo right now. Various issues, legal and technical are delaying their release. I'd expect them out by the time Bond 23 is in theaters, November 2012.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably just stick with what I have for once. My PS3 upscales quite nicely anyway.
 
For those of you who prefer individual cases, it looks like they've done away with the "book" style packaging and now have them in their own Blu cases in each Volume:

Also, there's two other Bond Blu-Rays not part of any set that can be bought by themselves: The Man With The Golden Gun and Licence to Kill (as well as Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace). All four are $9.99 this week at Best Buy and "Licence to Kill" is a Trade and Save eligible title, bringing that down to $5 if you bring in an old DVD.

I ended up picking up all 3 Volumes and Licence to Kill yesterday, but that Best Buy didn't have TMWTGG, so I'll have to try to find it at a different one or just order it online soon.

It was just released as a Best Buy exclusive, should be 9.99 in-store. If, y'know, you actually want to watch it...!
 
It should be noted that some of these old Bond movies are revered as being among the best Blu-Ray transfers in the history of the format, so I wouldn't get too bent out of shape about the fact that they aren't all available yet. Here's hoping they put as much care into restoring the remaining films as they have with films like Dr. No.

Well, I wouldn't be bent out of shape if they were actually, you know, working on them. But last I heard, they were put completely on hold in the midst of all of MGM's financial troubles. I would assume that now that those seem to be at least somewhat straightened out, they're probably working on them again, but there's been no specific word one way or the other. I just hope that they don't go cheap on doing the rest of them just to save some money.
 
Ok, I can confirm that the $9.99 offer and the trade-in offer can be combined at Best Buy for the titles that fall under both -- well, the title, anyway. The only one that seems to have overlapping offers is License to Kill. Picked it up for $4.99 after trade-in today.

All of the other Bond titles eligible for the trade-in deal are marked down to $14.99 before trade-in now, though (they were $19.99 previously). So there's that. I grabbed For Your Eyes Only for $9.99 with a trade. I may go back for Moonraker (the only other one that's currently on blu-ray that I don't have) later this week.
