hmm i wonder if i buy demon souls would it be reg edition or greatest hits. Btw what kind of quality are their used games.
I've never had an issue with their used games. For instance, I ordered Fable 3 CE and Dead Space 2 CE during the recent 40% sale and both came complete. The game in DS2 was still shrink wrapped and the DLC was not used.

Why not add the link for the PS3 (and others) for those that aren't used to the site.

THIS is why every thread should be wikified!

Thank You

does bestbuy match gohastings?

If they do should i ask them to look it up, or just show them on my phone?

if so then ill be in for FFXIII. for 15 no shipping.

Edit: looked up bestbuy policy, says bring in ad, and that they don't match competitors online prices. so i'm assuming they don't (feel free to answer if you know they will match it, or if there is a chance for override though).

You could always try.. but something tells me they'll be really stingy about that. They're usually really annoying at BB even when you have legitimate PMs, I don't think they'd let this slip by.

I heard mixed things about it. I'll have to wait because I barely have time to play games now as it is with my work schedule and life, lol.

The game isn't too long. It starts out with a bang and then spends some time mucking around but it's an overall fun time. If you liked God of War games or Darksiders you'll like it.
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

9.99
Seems to come out to ~$14 shipped for me. I've never played a MGS game before- would this be a good place to start?

I loved the God of War Series! I'm actually going through the second one again. I'll have to think about it because my backlog continued to grow, lol.

Thanks for the notice nddave.

Dante's Inferno: Divine Edition and Metal Gear Solid 4 for $24.54, not bad. I wish there was a way to tell if some of these games are greatest hits or not.

DJ Hero on sale for $169.99, what a steal!

I kid, but aside from the shipping (is it better if you order more than 1 title?) some of these are pretty good, especially the PH/$20 MSRP games that are being sold for $10 (Mass Effect 2, Dante's Inferno). I bought Dante's Inferno for $9 used (not B1G1 free) from a closing BBV a while back. I don't regret it in the least, so if you can snag a new version (especially the special PS3 version, you PS3users and your damn exclusives), I'd say it's worth it if you can figure out how to make the shipping an easier blow.
im considering biting on medal of honor just in hopes of getting a limited edition for the battlefield 3 beta
If the shipping kills it for you, Target might have MoH for $20 new (not sure if that temp price-cut I saw today was YMMV).

Shipping is only $2.28 for me....Am I lucky or are you guys just selecting Expedited Shipping (which is $6+)? What's wrong with Standard?

Is that for most of 'em anything over FREE is too much...

Just picked up another game today for $25 a first party Wii title, I didn't hesitate one little bit when it came to paying shipping, specially when I saved $7.50 on the game, some people are just too picky. ;)

There's more than one shipping speed? Do I need to be a member of GoHastings to choose differently? I never chose my style of shipping, it just automatically rung up for me as the $6+. I could live with Standard if it's only $2.28... (one of the best shipping prices aside from free, I've ever seen).

Also, used price on MoH is only like a $1.something cheaper, this seems like a good sale from their site's perspective.

@ uncle

Depends on what that first party Wii game is, and if it's a bundle or not. $7.50 is kinda high for slow shipping... I'm usually okay with the $3 ~ $4 range (though I'll obviously pick the slowest/cheapest shipping) depending on what it is/the original price.

Edit: ... Oh, you saved $7.50, you didn't pay $7.50.
Its $2.28 PER ITEM.

If you were charged $6+ you probably bought three items.
... Actually, the only thing I put in my cart was MoH. But thanks for the information anyways?

Still on the fence, ugh. Is it guaranteed to be an unopened LE?

After another look over the sale, the bundles are overpriced and I had no idea that Mafia 2 went PH/GH.

Thinking about SW: TFU, woulda been all over Bioshock 2 had I not picked it up used from BBV today. Hard to argue paying $10 for PH games that are quality titles (Bioshock 2 + ME 2 more so than SW: TFU).

Damn, that's a great price on Peace Walker. If it wasn't for all those rumors of a PS3 port floating around and E3 coming in week, I'd jump on that.

its worth a shot, but best buys are always kinda assholes about matching online prices

I have a local Hastings that has it for 15 in their weekly ad

Oh, I keep forgetting they have in-store locations. I'm on the East Coast so there's none even close to me.

Ah bummer! Well i stopped in on my way to work and got a new, sealed limited edition medal of honor with a battlefield 3 invitation for 15!

On the 3rd page after you login, is the shipping selection page, it offers cheaper shipping at $2.28 an item or the express shipping option for $6 an item, that's what everyone is talking about. ;)
I bought MGS 4 and Demon's Souls with no tax and only $4.56 for shipping—not bad.
bought MOH / Demons Souls both PS3 34.xx

thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think these deals are also available in store. I was at Hastings yesterday to trade some games in for the "trade 3 get additional $20" deal (which incidentally doesn't start 'til June 1st)and I had them scan Dante's Interno Divine Edition, Army of Two 40th Day, and Dead Space, and they all rang up as $10.

I didn't actually buy any of them, since I'm going to wait for until June 1st to trade in some games for that promo, so I just had them hold the games for me.
I've never played a MGS game before- would this be a good place to start?
you should really start with the original MGS on the ps or twin snakes on the gamecube/wii if ya have one of those. I found it difficult to play portable ops on the psp to the point I didnt finish it. i own peace walker but havent played it.

oh really meow? this is the first i've heard of it. if it comes to fruition, gives me a reason to keep my psp limited edition sealed.

Ok, I did a search and did not see anything posted so I thought I would just throw this out there for those of you who have a Hastings B&M.

"Get additional credit when you sell us your XBOX 360, PS3 & Wii Games: 2 games $10/ 3 Games $20."

Promo is good from 5/29 to 6/4

http://www.gohastings.com/custserv/c...geName=storead

I traded in the following (all xbox 360):
Wanted: Weapons of Fate
Stranglehold
Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection
Scene It? Box Office Smash
Shadowrun
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty

Walked out the door with $57 credit.

If this is true, and the trade promo did actually start on the 29th I'm gonna be pissed.

I went on the 29th to trade some games in and asked the employee why I wasn't getting the additional $20 trade credit for the 3 games I was trading in, and he replied "It doesn't start 'til June 1st".

Edit: Just called my local Hastings and they said that this deal has been going on for the past 2 days!:bomb:

Employees at the store near me did not know anything about this deal. At first they said we needed a coupon from the flyer. Then we showed them the flyer and they took 15 minutes but finally figured it out after calling a manager.

We did two transactions in order to get the extra $20 twice.

Great deal on games that had a really poor TIV.

How can they offer .96 shipping on movies and music and not on games, wtf. It's not like they're heavier, or even matters since they're using FC/MM to ship them. Assholes :/

My order from 2 weeks ago still isn't here either.
does the trade in deal work with all 360 games?
The only game they did not take was "you're in the movies" because it did not have a barcode and the person working appeared that they did not want to manually put in the title.

Without the extra two $20 promo, I would have only received $17 total for the really poor TIV games I had. So I am very happy getting the extra $40.

To answer your question, I would say that they would take any PS3 or 360 game with a barcode.

I was able to trade in:

Resistance Fall of Man :ps3:
Dead Space :360:
Halo 3 :360:

All in all after the $20 was added I got $35. Not too bad especially since I took that credit and bought:

Dead Space :ps3: (I don't have an Xbox 360 anymore, but love this game)
Dante's Inferno Divine Edition :ps3:
Army of Two: the 40th day :ps3:

^They were all on sale for $9.99 each (what's more they were NEW copies of the game) so I think I did really well.

I think Amazon is matching some of these prices. Peace Walker, Army of Two 40th Day, Dante's Inferno, Dead Space, Mass Effect 2, Resident Evil 5, Fallout: New Vegas, FF13 (Xbox only) appear to be the same prices on Amazon at the moment. Medal of Honor is still $20.

EDIT: Just noticed those prices on Amazon are actually from Hastings and shipping is $4. Whoops.
