does bestbuy match gohastings?
If they do should i ask them to look it up, or just show them on my phone?
if so then ill be in for FFXIII. for 15 no shipping.
Edit: looked up bestbuy policy, says bring in ad, and that they don't match competitors online prices. so i'm assuming they don't (feel free to answer if you know they will match it, or if there is a chance for override though).
its worth a shot, but best buys are always kinda assholes about matching online prices

I have a local Hastings that has it for 15 in their weekly adIf the shipping kills it for you, Target might have MoH for $20 new (not sure if that temp price-cut I saw today was YMMV).

Oh, I keep forgetting they have in-store locations. I'm on the East Coast so there's none even close to me.

There's more than one shipping speed? Do I need to be a member of GoHastings to choose differently? I never chose my style of shipping, it just automatically rung up for me as the $6+. I could live with Standard if it's only $2.28... (one of the best shipping prices aside from free, I've ever seen).
Also, used price on MoH is only like a $1.something cheaper, this seems like a good sale from their site's perspective.
@ uncle
Depends on what that first party Wii game is, and if it's a bundle or not. $7.50 is kinda high for slow shipping... I'm usually okay with the $3 ~ $4 range (though I'll obviously pick the slowest/cheapest shipping) depending on what it is/the original price.
Edit: ... Oh, you saved $7.50, you didn't pay $7.50.
On the 3rd page after you login, is the shipping selection page, it offers cheaper shipping at $2.28 an item or the express shipping option for $6 an item, that's what everyone is talking about.

I didn't actually buy any of them, since I'm going to wait for until June 1st to trade in some games for that promo, so I just had them hold the games for me.

I've never played a MGS game before- would this be a good place to start?
you should really start with the original MGS on the ps or twin snakes on the gamecube/wii if ya have one of those. I found it difficult to play portable ops on the psp to the point I didnt finish it. i own peace walker but havent played it.
If it wasn't for all those rumors of a PS3 port floating around and E3 coming in week, I'd jump on that.
oh really meow? this is the first i've heard of it. if it comes to fruition, gives me a reason to keep my psp limited edition sealed.

I think these deals are also available in store. I was at Hastings yesterday to trade some games in for the "trade 3 get additional $20" deal (which incidentally doesn't start 'til June 1st)and I had them scan Dante's Interno Divine Edition, Army of Two 40th Day, and Dead Space, and they all rang up as $10.
I didn't actually buy any of them, since I'm going to wait for until June 1st to trade in some games for that promo, so I just had them hold the games for me.
Ok, I did a search and did not see anything posted so I thought I would just throw this out there for those of you who have a Hastings B&M.
"Get additional credit when you sell us your XBOX 360, PS3 & Wii Games: 2 games $10/ 3 Games $20."
Promo is good from 5/29 to 6/4
http://www.gohastings.com/custserv/c...geName=storead
I traded in the following (all xbox 360):
Wanted: Weapons of Fate
Stranglehold
Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection
Scene It? Box Office Smash
Shadowrun
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty
Walked out the door with $57 credit.

If this is true, and the trade promo did actually start on the 29th I'm gonna be pissed.
I went on the 29th to trade some games in and asked the employee why I wasn't getting the additional $20 trade credit for the 3 games I was trading in, and he replied "It doesn't start 'til June 1st".
Edit: Just called my local Hastings and they said that this deal has been going on for the past 2 days!

Employees at the store near me did not know anything about this deal. At first they said we needed a coupon from the flyer. Then we showed them the flyer and they took 15 minutes but finally figured it out after calling a manager.
We did two transactions in order to get the extra $20 twice.
Great deal on games that had a really poor TIV.

does the trade in deal work with all 360 games?
The only game they did not take was "you're in the movies" because it did not have a barcode and the person working appeared that they did not want to manually put in the title.
Without the extra two $20 promo, I would have only received $17 total for the really poor TIV games I had. So I am very happy getting the extra $40.
To answer your question, I would say that they would take any PS3 or 360 game with a barcode.

Resistance Fall of Man

Dead Space

Halo 3

All in all after the $20 was added I got $35. Not too bad especially since I took that credit and bought:
Dead Space

Dante's Inferno Divine Edition

Army of Two: the 40th day

^They were all on sale for $9.99 each (what's more they were NEW copies of the game) so I think I did really well.
