free is a deal. a deal isnt always free.

just because something is free does not mean it doesn't belong in the deals section.

I downloaded even though I do not have DS2 at the moment. I am sure I will get my hands on a cheap copy eventually and will be pleased to have this. Thanks OP.

OT: why do developers always feel the need to shoehorn MP? Are we as gamers/consumers encouraging this? They really just need to stop.

Because good multiplayer stops people from playing the single player and trading it in immediately.

Unfortunately, EA's "pass" backfired on this one. Due to the pass the used price is significantly cheaper than the game new. And if you don't care about multiplayer it's a no-brainer to buy it used (at least on the 360, PS3 had extraction)

I don't think used PS3 copies even cut Extraction out, you only have to have the disc in the system to launch it. It downloads straight from the disc, rather than PSN.

Hmm, link is broken for me. And when I do a search for Dead Space 2, no Outbreak map pack is available. I know they were suppose to release free multiplayer content for Dead Space 2, but was that a mistake for this. Oh well, we'll see, but so far you guys and gals got lucky.
