Looks awesome. Dunno when I'll get to it though, since I'll be busy with Dark Souls when this comes out, and probably all Fall and possibly into Winter.

seriously, my life will come to a stand still the day i come home from work and arkham city is waiting for me. i might not sleep until i beat it. its looking amazing. the new flight and combat moves just everything.
 
That Robin looks like the grown up version of the current comic one. It also somewhat resemble the one from the Batman Forever and Batman and Robin movies.
 
I'm starting to waver on this game. Even at $46.99 after promo credit, I don't know if it's worth keeping the preorder when Amazon's only bonus is a comic book. I might just wait until next year when it's sure to have fallen into the $30s.

All these preorder bonuses on every game are having the opposite effect on me-- I'm starting to turn up my nose at any game without a really substantial bonus. :lol:

Your already getting $20 in credit plus pm'ing the game to $40 nets a better deal on both ends.

I think my wife is gonna kill me w/ the games that are coming out this fall...

Wish they would have released some of these during the summer that is completely empty w/ games.

I understand companies want to be on the shelves during the holidays but with SO many AAA titles there's only so much money to go around, that's why RDR had such a great run last year & Alan Wake could've done much better releasing July-August too. Unless your a huge AAA monster like COD releasing now makes so much sense, get an early sales lead at full price & if your games good word of mouth should carry if through the 1st qtr 2012. And all those BF sales will be icing on the cake. Batman will sell no doubt but it would be the lead game seller for 2-3 months if it dropped June-August then offer a truly hot DLC pack right around October then ride the sales wave thru BF.
 
I read in OPM that Catwoman will only make up 10% of the gameplay. That seems kinda stupid, to go through the effort of making her playable but only for 10% of the game... unless she becomes unlockable after you beat the game or something.

Plus you know there's always DLC that their holding onto just for this purpose. Can't you see a $10 "catwoman quest" and "Robin's Resolve" pack. And don't forget about Alfred & Oracle they can get in on the action too.
This game is gonna be spectacular & the only thing worse than waiting for this is knowing how good the next one will be. LOL

That's probably true... Rocksteady is awesome but seeing as how WB milked MK's online feature, I'm sure they'll happily try to sell off overpriced DLC. And I'll probably get them when the GotY version comes out (assuming Uncharted 3 doesn't sweep all the GotYs this year :p).

Even though Batman is released within a crowd of AAA titles, it will do very well I'd expect. Batman: AA is a top 5 game. That plus the build up for the sequel will only set it up for a huge win for sales.

But back then it was just hype that "maybe" this could be the game that gets it right and well...it did +5 million sales & it's the new standard for "comic" games.

I do agree. If they were to secure any I would have said a playable Robin, but that's a Best Buy exclusive this time. The PS3 version is outselling the 360 version on Amazon so it's possible it still would sell a good deal more copies even without anything exclusive this time.

the batman beyond skin is only worthwhile if it works like it does in the cartoons meaning the ability to go invisible, enhanced hearing and vision , limited flight and those sweet batarangs he tosses and shoots. oh yeah and the ability to stick to walls.
 
There's only one thing I don't like about the game. Its open world. I wish they made it like the other one instead, but I'll still give it a shot. I don't like open world games, but maybe Batman will be different for me.

Totally wrong, I'm just happy to have other skins. I love changing the costumes in superhero games and I was so sad they didn't have any different ones in the first game. Beyond looks super badass, too.

Checked in at my GameStop this morning and they said that they only have the Joker Carnival map as a preorder bonus, no Batman Beyond. :(

If true, then that would be sweet.

But I hope they make these skins available to everyone in the future... I'd rather not buy my copy from BB (or the Robin skin) or GS, unless they have a good offer.

Did you guys see the Australian EB Games version with the classic Batman outfit?

i hope so too i get tired of all this spreading out the skins crap but it seems like they all end up for sale on psn or xbox live eventually. and yeah that classic costume is nice id like to see a red hood skin too.
 
Batman AC GOTY w/all DLC LOL but this as a GOTY won't enrage people like the MVC3 one b/c it's done the way it's suppose to be done.

I love that this is open world too b/c of how AC is the size is incredible. Plus it's nice to switch pace from the main story to tackle other challenges/objectives.

I really don't like the Beyond outfit though. It doesn't look right on Bruce but being able to use the features would be sweet.
