(DEAD) $5 off DVD or Blu-Ray coupon

this is..................................AWESOME

Will definitely be using this for lots of purchases in the next 2 months, :)

wonder if you can buy multiple blus/dvds and use multiple coupons. Only says 1 coupon per item.
Heads up, it's only valid on regular prices. That pretty much kills the deal, if you ask me.
But thank you, OP.
it works just fine on sale items. I just picked up Legend (on sale at $14.99) just fine today. the register won't stop it.
Thanks very much :)

EDIT: I gotta say, most of the titles on BB.com that are marked 14.99 are generally 9.99 on Amazon. That doesn't mean this coupon isn't useful for other things, though.
At least Best Buy has a Rewards Program. Sure the $5 off knocks it to some of Amazon's prices, but I'd prefer to get rewarded for every purchase no matter how great or small. This coupon would have been sweet last week for X-Men Blu-Rays. Thanks OP.

Couldn't you argue that since all their prices are regularly on sale that the sale prices are regular prices?

im not sure if it would have worked with those since they were 7.99.

double feature movies are the way to go for this...

crank/crank 2
war/condemed 2

there are plenty of others but they aren't worthed imo as I've seen most of these titles already on netflix (unless they are dirty cheap). With BBV's amazing 99 cent blu ray sale and 5 for $20 I won't be buying any more blu's for a while!

why do with double feature sets when you can just buy 2 monies and use 2 coupons? Most of those sets are trash. Especially the ones where they dont give each movie its own seperate disc and case.

Thanks, OP... this and the reward certificate I've got would make a couple of the movies I've considered much less painful to purchase. (though at the moment, I don't recall what they were)

This would work with today's release of True Grit, right? I'm going to try after work but I wanted to see if anyone had attempted this yet. Nice find!

i got a 5 dollar reward zone coupon right now as well, so this works perfectly for that. Good times. thanks OP!
this is way better than the $5 off 19.99 coupon for reward zone silver members
No doubt, I was able to get Wolverine and the X-Men Complete series for 19.99 with that coupon. I think I may save this until next week and get Due Date for $9.99.

I just saw that True Grit will be $14.99 next week at Target so would you be able to PM this at BB and then use the coupon or would they shoot that down because of the PM already being used? That would be a killer deal at $10 for the BD/DVD/DC version.

Yes, but you have to pay sales tax at BB, plus travel time ect...
Save $5 off any :dvd: or :br: priced $14.99 or higher, good through 7/31.
LOL. So much for all that "trade in ANY DVD for $5 off SELECT blu-rays" we all rushed to do last month.

Sucks it's in-store only, but I might use one. It looks like BB has the preorder for Legend of the Fist: Return of Chen Zhen up for $19.99, while Amazon wants $22. This coupon next week would take it down to $14.99 pre-tax, so it seems like a good deal.

Thanks, this might come in handy. Sucks though because it pretty much makes my 2 DVD trade-ins pointless.

anyone use multiple coupons yet? I'd like to pick up the Bond 3 packs which are on sale this week for $19.99 and use 3 coupons if possible. $45 for 9 Bond blus. :)

If they won't let you use multiples, what would stop you from buying 1, coming back 20 minutes later, etc? Besides being a huge waste of your time, obviously.

I realize that. Just wanted to know if anyone had success using multiples.

What I can't wrap my head around is that this is a official pdf on Best Buy's site, and in the fine print it says "No copies," I mean I probably wont have an issue using it (as long as I buy one BD per trip), but if I do I'm gonna be pissed, why put "No copies" in the fine print if it's a "copy" no matter what? Seriously.

I used two coupons today in the same transaction without problems. I don't even know whether you need two coupons because when the cashier scanned the second coupon the register did not make the same bing noise it did when she scanned the first one.

Awesome coupon. Too bad it has the $14.99 minimum though. But still, I can think of a few things to use this one on (Bond Vol.'s 1, 2, and 3; Air Force One/In The Line of Fire 2 pack; True Grit)...I'd love to take a crack at getting them to do a pricematch + coupon on True Grit next week though.

Any suggestions about what to get? Not seeing anything worthwhile when comparing prices with Amazon. And it doesn't a lot of Best Buy's stuff is some kind of sale price or something else to make the coupon invalid.

Bah, I wouldn't worry about items being on sale. The CSRs rarely notice that sort of thing. They just scan, look over the coupon, and if it works just let it slide. My question is, has anyone gotten them to scan the coupon on a DVD/Blu that's under $14.99, and did the register automatically take it?!? I'm going to find out shortly...

EDIT:

Coupon does NOT work on any blu/DVD priced under $14.99. I tried it on There Will Be Blood ($12.99), No Country For Old Men ($9.99), X-Men 1 and X-Men 2 ($7.99 each). Didn't take anything additional off of those. But I did get them to take 5 coupons in a single transaction, and it worked on all items $14.99 and up:

Bond Vol 1, 2, and 3 were $14.99 each after coupon ($5 for each Bond blu AC is a damn good price)
Air Force 1/In the Line of Fire 2 pack was $9.99 AC

Well I pulled off 5 coupons in one transaction today. lol. Lucked out. I was going mainly for the Bond 3 packs on sale for $19.99 this week but they only had one so i passed on getting them. Ended up getting these:

Superman The Movie $14.99
Superman II Richard Donnor Cut $14.99
Superman Returns $14.99
True Grit $18.00
Tim aand Eric Awesome Show Season 5 (DVD) $14.99

and got to use a coupon on each taking $25 off the order. :)

Total was like $56 something after taxes. And got 3 free Green Lantern movie cash tickets to boot on each of the Superman blus. :)

Also it seemed like no override was needed. He just scanned em all and I think he may have pushed one button at the end and it showed all the coupons coming off. :)

Speaking of Bond, I'm definitely using one of these for the (Best Buy exclusive) ridiculous 1967 Casino Royale... I'm glad I've discovered that this exists, since there was no prior announcements that such a thing would exist.

I completely forgot about T&EASGJ! Season Cinco (even though I'm waiting for a Blu-ray release... that's probably never gonna happen) having been released, so I might use another one on that... $5 each off two $14.99 titles... perfect!

Went to BB today and was happy to find out these bonds were not the same packaging as the collections on amazon that supposedly scratched the discs. There is a slip case and then each get there own standard blu-ray case which makes this much much better. This is my first ever blu-ray purchase after just getting a PS3. I need to go back to get the other 2 volumes!

Going to try and use this tomorrow for Green Hornet, which will be marked down to $18. Hopefully they'll let me use it since it does say markdowns taken from regular price.

Just got BTTF for 9.99 (after Best Buy price match there website to 14.99)
Then used the $5.00 off deal.
Last one in Montgomery,Al.

ok guys it works easy, just tell them to scan the coupon.
mail

I got Bond Bluray Vol. 2 yesterday and it rang up at $19.99 and they autoadded the coupon. Today I went to get Volume 1 & 3 and they rang up at list price (something over $50 each) but the very friendly girl at the register went over and looked at the display and then had a manager change the prices to $19.99 each. She scanned both coupons in the same transaction and it look like they were applied automatically without her having to do anything. It is probably somewhat YMMV about using more than one coupon per transaction but I think you would have to run into a real annoying employee for that to happen.

The prices on these three-packs of Bond movies are so ridiculously good ($5 per film) they almost deserve their own thread.

Just picked up BttF and True Grit for $10 each. Cashier didn't want to honor the coupon because the BDs were "sale" items, but eventually scanned it and they worked.

I forgot to pick up Harry Potter 7 pt 1 for $9.99 AC, but I'll remedy that later this week. $9.99 each for True Grit combo and BTTF trilogy is an absolute steal!
