How much did you get charged, total?

It says they won't charge till it ships, but my receipt says £19.28 or about $31.56. The price in the cart was £17.99.

Correct, they charge 1.29 pounds for shipping to the US.

You have to have an account created with them or create one during checkout (otherwise, they don't know your location obviously). It won't show up in your cart.

VAT isn't charged to US customers... I take it it's different for Japan maybe?

Again, I'm not sure... are you in the US? Have to created an account and logged in first?

But once you confirm the order, that's the price you pay so don't order it if you don't like the price.

It doesn't show -£3.00 for VAT for me either, but it does say 0.00% for VAT Rate.

Spoiler

Bleh, if Telltale would refund me my money for the blowout bundle and a few other things that they said were cancelled I'd buy this... But if for some slim chance my stuff actually ships, I don't need to spend the extra cash....

Don't forget the Great Giana Sisters, Inazuma Eleven, and Jam with the Band!

Except Destineer actually brought over Giana Sisters to the US. I saw a review in Nintendo Power.

Sorry, you guys are right. It looks like they either changed their policies on VAT or there was some kind of error but it appears to be the case. I'll update the price yet again... it was still deducting VAT when I last posted and figured the issue was isolated due to non-US countries.

Glad I got mine in before this happened. Already shipped, I do believe.

Mine was total of 17.95 lbs, and I got a notice that they charged my card today (and I ordered on Tuesday). Quick service... love to get it before Father's Day.

Isn't Face Training a DSi game and therefore region locked?

Yep, I know.
I just want to have a complete set of "DSi-only" games (I have the 3 US releases) and Nintendo-published games so it was a must-have for me regardless.

I read that review too and was excited to hear it was actually getting a US release but I can't seem to find it ANYWHERE.
Even online shops don't seem to carry it...?

That's because it hasn't been released yet. Cokem (the distributor handling it for Destineer) had it listed for release this week, but the few retail sites that still list it are now showing August 2, 2011 as the release date.

I received an e-mail and my copy shipped this morning. I also placed my order with the 2-3 days dispatch so look out for your shipment e-mails! :)

Ok, I emailed CS about this and it looks like it was a glitched. They're once again deducting the VAT during checkout when I try it. To those of you who have had issues, you might want to try again.

And if you've already placed an order, email them and let them know of the price difference, you might get it adjusted.

Thanks for the heads-up! I just placed my order, this time with the proper total of £16.28.

Someone on page 2 posted another store, Shopto.net, where it's now down to 12.85 pounds. Shipping w/o tracking 2.50 pounds, with tracking 5.50. I ordered with so it's 18.35, or ~$29.80. Hope it's a reliable store...

Didn't deduct VAT for me today so it was £19.28. Sent an email to their CS now after placing the order anyway.

I got in for one, thanks for the heads up. I didn't know it got a EU release. I still haven't played Hotel Dusk, but I love those sort of games. I plan on playing them both sometime this year.

I just got in on this. Even for $32 it's not a bad deal considering how much a copy of it goes for on Ebay.

I loved hotel dusk, I would've been on this in a heart beat if it got properly released in the US.

I'm going to add this to the original post... I'm sure more people will order if there was tracking.

The OP says that dvd.co.uk wants you to approve the transaction. What exactly does that entail, and do you have to provide additional personal information? Since this company is overseas, I'm a little leery about buying...

It's just an anti-theft measure used by banks/credit card companies since this is a foreign transaction. They don't have access to where the order was placed from or where it's going- just that the order was placed at a store overseas.

For my Chase card, the send me an email and I just have to confirm that I placed the order. You don't have to provide any more info than what's generally required for an order (name, address, payment info).

I put in an order to shopto.net today as well. I got a notification within a few hours saying it has been shipped already. I picked shopto because it was a little cheaper and the other site had a 4-6 day lead time.
