Tekken 6 LE w/ wireless fightstick (360) $37.99 @ Amazon

CAGiversary!
Tekken 6 LE w/ wireless fightstick (360) 39.99 @ Amazon

360 only, ps3 is 79.99. Great deal for everyone that missed this stick when it hit 29.99 at Bestbuy awhile back. Stick is pretty decent quality for the price, but comes with nonstandard parts so isn't easily mod-able with your own stick and buttons.

Game trades in for 7.75 at amazon right now.

EDIT: For those looking for higher quality alternatives or input on the stick from someone that's used alot of sticks for comparison, Nucking Futz! has some great information and alternatives here.

If you want a cheap quality one to see if you like a fightstick, or a backup for guests, I don't think there are any other fightsticks for 360 that compare to the price/quality for this one. If you know you are going to be using one alot and want a quality one, you should save up and get a quality stick. Brief research prior to buying this fightstick made it look like you could get or put together a quality stick by swapping out parts for around 150-200 out of pocket (out of my price range).

Honestly I'm glad I got this one, I found that I really won't be using it enough to justify spending more on one.

Thanks for the info, I think I will get it after your review. I really like fighting games, but not enough to dish out $150-$200.

I was going to post this deal, thought I might be the first to see it since I had a camelcamelcamel alert set up for it, but you guys beat me to it.

I bought one. I am looking forward to seeing if I can improve my scores in Pac Man DX using this stick. I might even play a few fighters with it...
Dumb question, but this stick works well with SF4, right? I mean, if I remember correctly, the button layouts are pretty similar, no?
Works great with it. Also most games let you change the button mapping so it'll be fine.

I own 2 of these sticks (from the BB sale) and I use trhem fairly often when I have friends come over. They work great for SF4, BlazBlue, MVC 3, and pretty good for MK (my only gripe is that block is RT which is tough to hit quickly (like reactionary, which is needed to block) and consistently on this stick). Id say if this is your first stick, or you arent a "fighting stick elitist" then this is a very good entry level stick for the price. If you dont want the game and book that are included you could sell them to bring down the cost.

I might actually buy at this price... I missed out back when Best Buy was clearing them out for $30, but I don't know if they'll drop down to that again any time soon.

Get this if you really want a fight stick and don't wanna shell out a couple hundred bucks for one.

I got this from BB a while back and regret it. The thing "clicks" anytime you move the joystick the buttons aren't great.

I'm not a fightstick person but I was expecting much more.

I got Tekken 6 + the fightstick for $60 way back in like 09 lol. I haven't even tried the fightstick yet. Once I get around to playing Mortal Kombat for more than like 20 minutes at a a time I will use it heh. This is a good deal

I'm in for one! Thanks, OP!

Great price for a wireless stick, plus I can sell the game + art book to make another $10 back.

I've played with it before and can vouch for it being a pretty decent entry stick. Good deal for people that have never tried fight sticks before. I think Gamestop had these on clearance for even cheaper a long time ago if you can even find them anymore.

They were $29.99 + tax at BB but it didn't last long. An extra $6 considering the added rarity of it these days is pretty good (the sticks alone were going for $35-40 used on eBay a couple weeks back).

to be honest, the stick is awful. but if it's your first stick and its more for casual use, you probably wont even care. good find tho, $40 is decent price

It's the only wireless joystick out there for the 360 - this is why I got it. No, it's not as good as my ASCII ones's that I bought for my Sega Saturn back in 1998, but nothing has ever been as good as those. And I bought 3 since they were 10 bucks each on clearance - online, none of this YMMV crap.

With that rant, these are great for what they are- I bought one at release for BS price, and then bought another when it was 40 or 50 bucks- gave the game and book to my brother. I don't play fighting games like I used to, so it's not a mega issue.

Nice price and even better since it comes with a game. Sucks that it's cordless my 360 won't stay synced to wireless controllers. I guess you could still use it on a PC through one of those USB receivers.... I've been in the market for a stick recently to use with 360 XBLA games and fighters/SHUMPS plus PC um yea solitaire and stuff lol. They are rather pricey.

Don't get this stick. I bought it at GameStop a while back and it is a complete piece of shit and isn't suitable for any sort of serious play.

What the hell. I will never be able to talk myself into spending the money on a top end stick because I just don't play fighters enough to warrant it. $40 for this stick and Tekken 6 pushed me over the edge. Thanks OP!

ya.. i was very tempted to get this since i actually need a 2nd stick for the 360... but i heard bad things about the quality of this one. After flipping through this thread it seems other people agree. I MAY have bit anyway just to use it as a backup, but if im not mistake this stick is wireless isn't it? Thats fail in my book, i want a corded one for sure

maybe i'll get one of those street fighter 6 button controllers if they drop in price

The stick is garbage, just buy Tekken 6 by itself if you want to play it. I purchased this a while ago and traded in the game and gave the stick to a friend, kept the art book though.

I understand it's not the best stick in the world, but you are getting a stick for approximately the cost of a standard wireless controller. Can anyone that's crapping on the stick provide a comparable piece of hardware for a comparable price? Please we would appreciate it.

Well I lucked out a while ago getting a SF4 SE stick for $15 at walmart and replaced the buttons and stick for around the same price as this.
IMO you would be better off with a normal 360 controller then the stick that comes with this package.

I have the stick and disagree that a normal controller is better, this definitely plays fine for me. I am only casually into fighting games. Stick allows me to predictably pull of the 'moves' while the standard controller does not.

The stick is the main problem with the fightstick, it's way too thin and will break in no time at all if you're actually playing relatively often.
If you're just interested in the stick, just get a SE from MadCatz for around the same price and much better quality.
Link?

It's supposed to click. It's a Japanese stick.

I have a Hori SC4 (FS3) Stick which is probably similar to this one, and I have a Madcatz TE. Honestly, TE is the only way to go if you really want to do well in fighting games, not even for hardcore use, but if you enjoy fighters, get a TE.

nah spend an extra $20-$30 and get a good wired stick. Wireless is bad and the build quality on this isn't great either.

Even starting with a madcatz SE stick is better cause you have the option to upgrade it easily.

I'm pretty sure the OP isnt planning on taking this thing to tournaments to try to tackle Daigo or Wong but for a casual user or someone without much experience with a fight stick this is definitely suitable for this price.

I'm not a joystick snob...but I do collect them regardless of price (from a $15 dreamGEAR Arcade Fighter Micro to a $300 Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 Premium VLX). With that in mind...

For the casual gamer that only plays fighting games once in a blue moon then this stick will be fine for the most part. However, for the gamer (not just the hardcore peeps) that plays more than just once in a blue moon, this thing's craptastic! The joystick lever's crap (too much of a deadzone before it triggers a response in any direction), the buttons are horrible (have to depress the button longer/deeper to trigger it aka too much deadzone) & it's way too lightweight (you'll move it off the table or your lap too easily). I haven't had any issues with lag so the wireless aspect should be fine (unless you play in tournaments which I highly doubt you would w/this stick). Honestly, this stick's so bad I only bought it for 2 reasons: 1) got it for dirty cheap to add to my collection & 2) for the button mashers that come over, haha!

The Mad Catz SE (Standard Edition) is no longer in production but the Wii version (Tatsunoko vs Capcom aka TvC) is still for sale on the Mad Catz website for $60 (buy 1 get 1 free). Right now, they're having a 20% off sale so that's 2 of them for $48 + shipping & possibly tax (depends on your state). The TvC version has much better buttons & a joystick lever than the SE version. I can honestly say it's near arcade (Sanwa/Seimitsu) quality components. Not sure for X360 owners but for PS3 owners, combine it with this adapter that cost less than $20 (has 2-ports) & you're good to go for ~$35 - $40 per joystick (once you factor in cost of the adapter):

TvC stick:

For those of you that wanna avoid using an adapter & are willing to spend ~$30 more (once you factor in cost of the adapter), I recommend the PS3/X360 version of the TvC stick (with the better components) aka the WWE Brawlstick for $64 + shipping & possibly tax:

http://store.gameshark.com/listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=370

BTW, the Tekken 6 stick is the same exact stick as this one & yes, that's my review on there, LOL:

http://www.amazon.com/PS3-Wireless-...6KQ2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1308035546&sr=8-4

Hope that helps & lemme know if you guys have anymore joystick related questions!

Thanks! put a direct link to this in the OP, great info. I'd already grabbed this for 30 in the bestbuy deal and think it was worth it for my (casual) use.

You're welcome! Yeah, if you're gonna use it once in a while then you'll be fine but anything more than that you're better off with another joystick.

If you want a joystick(for even semi serious play) just buy a TE. Or you can mod a SE but it still won't come out as nice

Still not a bad price for the game + a joystick for company.

I would have jumped on $30 if it was amazon and not bestbuy.

this thing seems to be a limitless limited edition. but they do make the CASUAL gamer happy. or anyone looking for a budget stick that won't be used competitively or constantly
