(DEAD) Sucker Punch 2 Disc EE (2 BDs, no DVD or DC) @ Amazon - $14.99

Thought I'd love it with all the eye candy, but it sucked. Don't get me wrong; the visuals were incredible. However, the plot was horrible and the dialogue pretty cheesy. I don't know what Snyder was going for but it didn't work IMHO. Let's hope he does better with the Man of Steel. If you want to see women in catholic school girls outfits just rent some X-rated movies.

Movie sucked big time. I was actually anticipating this one, but aside from her action packed and visonally impressive 2nd "dream state",the movie was garbage. This one is not worth the 15 bucks, even if it was given free, I wouldn't even use it for a coaster.

Yeah, this movie was pretty bad. I got to go to a free screening and the only thing that kept me from walking out was that I was there with someone else.

Gotta agree with the rest of the comments. This movie is quite bad. I rented it thinking I would love, it, heck, the story reads like it was designed for me, and I love bad corny movies as long as they are fun, but this movie is a wreck. Thankfully I rented it before I bought it, or I would have jumped on this blindly and regretted it.

You guys did better than I did. A friend lent me his copy. I couldn't finish watching it. Story is convoluted, acting is horrible and I have porn that has better Catholic school girl sequences.
I've never seen a "pro-feminine" movie that had so much rape and submissive behavior in it than Sucker Punch. This movie SUCKS. Listen to this hilarious podcast from Paul Scheer to see why this movie is so batshit insane and awful.

As bad as the movie may have been, three people shouting over each other in a podcast while laughing at their own jokes is ten times worse.

I keep wanting to buy this, but I keep hearing such bad things about it.... Looks like I'll wait until it goes under $10.

I don't think it was bad "bad", but it just wasn't good. It's the reason the film didn't fare so well as WB had hoped and projected in the box office.

There was a hint of the film trying to implement concepts of Inception which really failed.

I'm not even sure if it's good for eye-candy HD viewing since most of the scenes (actually ALL of it) are just dark, grey, and gritty. Too much grey and black colors with some pee-yellow. It doesn't shout "hey watch me in beautiful HD"; it's just bland.

The action scenes were just okay. It was a little too over the top with too much slow motion even for a Zack Snyder film. There were scenes when it really didn't need to be so slow with the slow motion effect looking forced.

I might wait for Black Friday when this baby is around $7.99.

Holy crap, 41 minutes? Who listens to these things? I could watch half of the movie and decide for myself in the time it would take to listen to that. I guess I just don't get the idea behind podcasts, I don't want to listen to people ramble on and on. They need to learn to edit themselves down, and then I might be interested.

Anyway, yeah, glad that I heard enough about how bad this movie was before I went to the theater and wasted my money on it. Biggest movie disappointment in a long time, as the trailer looked awesome. I'll probably get it from Netflix at some point just to check it out and see for myself how awful it is, but I couldn't imagine buying it.

Pro-feminine? You missed the entire point of the movie. Most people have no idea that this movie is about MK Ultra...

Yikes, am I the only one that really enjoyed this movie? I mean, I know it isn't the greatest, but once you get around to being able to follow it it's certainly really not bad. It was one of my favorite movies so far this year, and I'm normally not one for the OH YEHZ ACTION! movies either...

Well, clearly I'm not going to convince you of anything so I'll just sum it up with this: I LISTEN BECAUSE IT MAKES ME LAUGH. These aren't a couple of regular assholes like you (I was gonna say "and me", but not this time) riffing on a movie, but rather professional comics/actors who are insanely funnier than you and I (see, I included myself that time!) could ever be.

Thank you.

While I didn't catch the theatrical release, I watched the extended version and actually enjoyed it. I later found out that 2 major scenes were added, one which probably tied up the loose ends in the theatrical release, which many seem to be unhappy with due to the 'loose plot'.

Sure SP has plenty of eye-candy and over-the-top action, which the trailers all point to and so you'd expect to leave your brain at the door. but what surprised me the most was at the end, it left me analyzing the entire movie as a whole. The extended cut made me appreciate the movie more.

It wasn't a great movie, but it was far from terrible. I enjoyed it. I don't really know what the rest of you were expecting.

Eh, I liked it a lot.

Same. The story was gonna suck, you could tell right away from the trailers and commercials. All I wanted was hot girls in skimpy outfits, over the top action, and amazing visuals and I felt it succeeded in that. Didnt know that many people hated it so much as to call it the worst movie of the year.

I also feel as if I'm the only one. This seems like a movie that some people didn't get. It wasn't incredibly deep, but it was very well thought out. The concept and execution were both well done and the casting as well as some of the acting was very good. The lead was a bit wooden, despite being a very solid actor, so that was a knock on it, but overall, I found the movie to be very enjoyable and I was actually anticipating the release.

If there's one thing you can't say about the movie, is that it's not absolutely gorgeous. The set pieces were wonderful and looked marvelous. Reminded me a lot of Sky Captain.

As for this, I'm still going to wait a bit longer. Paying more than 10 for a Blu anymore seems like a waste since they drop so fast.

I guess Im also one of the few that loved it, but only after the secon viewing and being the extended edition which adds about 18 minutes extra I think. It is a different kinda movie, yes it has action which you see in the trailer but something very different is going on in the "real world" which you don't fully understand until the end, and even then it's A little bit confusing, but overall I think it was a great film, but It needed to be targeted at an audience that is fans more of Donnie Darko type films instead of 300. I'll bet you guys would like it more if you take it for what it is and get into it. I preordered it for $24.99 and I think it was worth every penny. Yes it is eye candy, has a great video transfer, and exceptional audio, but like I said the story itself is a but different and kinda disappointing at first, and I didn't truly like it alot until my second viewing. Just my opinions here guys.

This is seriously one of the most love it or hate it movies ever. I don't think I've ever seen such differing opinions on one movie before. And not just on here, pretty much everywhere.

I got the impression it was more of a "like it a bit" or hate it. You can lump me in with the people who liked it. It honestly reminded me of the Speed Racer movie, in how eye catching and over the top it was. Still waiting for the $10 price point though, because it's inevitable.

DON'T YOU DARE COMPARE SPEED RACER TO THIS PIECE OF CRAP! Speed Racer knew it wanted to be a family film that didn't take itself too seriously and basically bring the cartoon in all it's ridiculousness to life. THIS film though just tried to go for too much, but instead was just bland and fell on it's face with it not knowing when or how to be dark and serious to campy.

Yeah, I've only seen the extended edition and I loved the movie. Maybe the difference in cuts makes a difference, I don't know.

I agree the plot is barely there, but the visual stuff is amazing and I thought the scenes worked well with the music.

It's basically just like 300 with the very short plot and million stylistic camera shots.

I loved Speed Racer. I couldn't believe the hate it got.

Shame it bombed so we'll never see a sequel

I didn't love it or hate it with a passion. I left it totally "meh", visually it looked great and had an awesome soundtrack. But overall it bored me. I picked it up on the hastings sale but ended up trading it to moviestop.

It had a monkey throwing it's own poop at someone! I Don't understand how kids didn't want to see this movie and instead Smurfs and Alvin and the Chipmunks makes mad bank?! Especially considering this movie is fun the whole way through for the family not just groan worthy as you're forced to accompany with someone at the age who has to watch dance numbers to old ass 80's songs.

I wanted to watch this in the theater but didn't get a chance so I rented it a week or so ago. This seemed like a movie right up my alley but I ended up hating it so much. It's just bad.

Just snagged. Even though the story is a mess, the graphics are great. I can't wait to hear it in my 5.1 setup.

I just git mine in the mail from amazon. Mine was two discs but both of them were blu-ray (standard and extended cuts) It didn't have the DVD or the digital copy. I guess that version might have been discontinued.

Just got mine from Amazon too but it didn't come with the DVD or Digital Copy like the ad.

Should've just priced match this ad to Best Buy since I had a $5 reward cert.

EDIT: Seems I'm not the only one shipped the incomplete vers.

Not sure.

I know Best Buy still had a lot of them as of last week.

Uh, pretty sure the one linked in the OP shows DVD+DC, so if they're shipping the wrong one it's false advertising.

It's not false advertising. The picture on Amazon was uploaded by a user. It was the wrong product.

Read the reviews at the bottom. Lots of people are mentioning that it is the wrong item in the picture.

Well that just sucks.

Well, if Amazon is allowing a product to be misrepresented and fulfilling it, they should still be held accountable. It is false advertising, regardless of who uploaded the image and you damn well know if Target or BB had the wrong image listed in an ad they'd have to honor it. Considering the number of complaints already, there's no excuse for them not fixing it yet either.

I canceled my backordered copy, letting Amazon know in the comments of the cancellation that it's due to the lack of DC and DVD as pictured in the image listed.

I also updated the thread title and thread OP appropriately.

Target's link for it still shows it as 2 x BD and DVD / DC disc, since it's listing a three-disc version. I'd suggest picking it up at Target or PMing it at Best Buy if you want the DVD / DC disc.
This was easily the worst movie so far this year, and amongst the worst in the last several years.
Agreed. I watched it from Netflix last night. Really took a lot of willpower to not turn it off after 30 minutes. And I wish I had. Worst movie I've seen in quite a while.

I don't know why I bothered given the reviews and that I also hated 300.

Glad I'm not the only one that found enjoyment out of this movie :)

But some of you mentioned it had bad acting... I'm interested in hearing what exactly it is that you thought was so bad about it. I'm a bit curious as bad acting is a major pet peeve of mine, so I'm wondering what was so bad that I failed to pick up on as it's usually the first/main thing(in a movie that has it) that annoys me. I mean, I'm not saying there were any award winning performances, and at parts the main character came across as a bit stiff, but I thought the rest of the cast did a pretty good job and I certainly didn't notice any glaringly bad acting.
