Man I can't wait until they release the 3DS Lite (or whatever redesign you know is coming) so I can pick this up. It looks great!

This game looks awesome... but since Kid Icarus was delayed and with all the talk/rumors of a re-designed system, I just can't bring myself to buy a 3DS.

Picking this up at launch. Not much to say about it because it's another Mario game.

Although I tired of having to search every fucking nook and cranny in the level to find hidden coins. I kinda wish this was like Mario 3 where the secrets only gave you bonuses/powerups instead of being there to find collectable coins/secret exits.

That's the only reason to keep playing a Mario game! Super Mario 3 was great but once you know how to get through every level (which were really short) by flying right to the end there's really no point in playing. Power-ups and coins are worthless. The 3 hidden coin format is what makes the game playable for longer than a few hours.

I was having my doubts about this game, but that new trailer just renewed my faith! The box art looks a bit unusual to me. I think it is pretty well done though. It matches the uniqueness of the platforming style of this game.

Does anyone know how to convert this game so my son can play it on his regular DS Lite? There has got to be a way!

Um, no.

Yes, its a magical thing called Trade-in, trade it in and buy the 3ds.

Looks good. I'm planning on using my Arkham City $30 coupon to get this for $10 at the local Kmart. Hopefully, on launch day, but those are hit and miss in the land of Big K. PWing only takes you to the end of the level? Boo....and what's up with the golden suit? invincible Tanooki?

What do you expect a P-Wing to do?

Going to go preorder this after I trade in both Batman AA and AC today (don't want to talk about it, but I really did not care for both games). I know I can probably do better deal wise but hey it will be free with credit.

Gamestop better pray I get my god damn keychain on release, none of this Zelda poster bullshit people had because that is going right on my keyring.

A friend of mine reviews games and I got to play the first 2 levels of this. It seems pretty good. The whole 2D 3D thing seems a little odd at first but it's an easy adjustment. 3D effects are good, but for some reason I've been struggling more lately with the 3D in general on the 3DS. I think I tend to move the system a bit too much when I play. The one thing is the action seems almost a little too zoomed out at times...kind of wish the 3DS screens were bigger.

I've been kind of meh on Mario in general more recently but every time I start playing I realize how addictive and great these games are. As most of the reviews are stating it seems pretty easy, at least in the beginning...but heard it ramps up. Think I might be picking this up when it releases.

I was planning on buying this, but the one thing every review says is that while the game is great, the main game is absolutely devoid of anything remotely challenging or difficult. This was my biggest peeve with New SMB on Wii and DS, fun games, but the utter lack of anything even slightly frustrating or hard made the games a total bore for me.

Why is it that Nintendo can hit it out of the park in this aspect with a game like Donkey Kong Country Returns where the game is a real challenge, but not to the point where it's a negative? I love DKC Returns precisely for this reason. Even the Mario Galaxy games have their moments of difficulty. Why does Nintendo feel the need to tone down the difficulty? Is it because they are trying to appeal to children and the casual market that doesn't want to be challenged? I wish I knew the answer, but I may end up avoiding this one as a result.

IGN gave it a pretty glowing review. Between that and Shipwreck's impressions I'll likely be getting this game. It'll be nice to have a quality game that I haven't played before or is available on another platform (Zelda, SF4, etc).

considering IGN gave new super mario bros ds a 9.5 and i didnt really enjoy that until the last 2 worlds, i have my qualms about 3d land. i'll still be getting it though thanks to kmart

Not sure when Mario is ever a hard game. Mairo Bros 3 and World are pretty easy

Do you think that _all_ of SMW is easy? Or just the main route through the game?

Maybe I'm just terrible at games, but I don't think that most mario games are that easy if you are a completist at all

Mario World and Mario 3 are easy with the hindsight of 20 years of playing them and knowing the games and their levels like the back of your hand. At them time they were new, they were quite the challenge.

I think the IGN review said "new game plus" that allegedly gets MUCH harder.

Beat all 96 levels in SMBW when I was a kid. Aside from the special levels it is really not that hard.

Just got Super Mario Land 3D and it is great. The only negative thing I can say is that it is rather easy so far. On world 4-2 right already.

The first couple of levels are definitely easy, but they're a total joy to play. This is the happiest game I've played since Epic Yarn, and it makes great use of 3D. Brilliant stuff so far.

I played some at Target this morning before GameStop opened (where I pre-ordered). It's awesome fun and the graphics alone are the best I've experienced on this system. I instantly switched to extended depth 3D mode because I love to maximize the 3D graphics. So far Nintendon't disappoint. I'll play my copy later tonight :).

The game is rather easy but the 3D has thrown me off a bit; causing me to miss a jump or make it in the wrong direction that would normally be acceptable in a 2D Mario game

I just got through the first World. Held off playing it til it got darker because the 3D images look better to me at night and that's when I prefer to do my vidya gaming. I think I prefer normal 3D now as it's got a good balance of pop out and depth where extended has mostly well, extended depth. So far from what I've played it's a 10/10 and that'll be my final verdict because I know the rest of the game will be as awesome, if not awesomer.

This looks and sounds amazing. For the first time, I wish I had a 3DS. I think I might have to bite on a Black Friday bundle with this game and look to pick up Mario Kart next month.

Played for a short time last night and got through most of World 2. I love this game so far! Which of the two 3D settings are you guys using?

I think the default makes the graphics "pop" more, but the window style view (down on d-pad) makes it a hell of a lot easier to navigate jumps.

Man this game looks awesome. I have a 6 hour bus ride on Friday and this game would be perfect to play on it. But Black Friday is approaching and I should probably save money for that
