I've imported games just fine in the past. UK and JP games work fine on my PSP. However im having an issue with BOF III from the UK. WHen i load it up it tells me i have insufficient memory to save the game, and that it requires 192kb of space... well its a sony 16gb memory stick and has about 12 gigs of space on it o_O So i dont know what the issue is. I tried googling this and saw a few topics about it, but no real answers.

Anyone played this? Anyone know a solution to this? A RPG you cant save in is kinda a problem. I saw one thread mentioning certain versions dont work with US psp's which seems odd to me

IDK maybe try getting a game save from gamefaqs and seeing if it recognizes in your psp. If it does than just start a new game and overwrite it.

Yikes, I was thinking about importing this game. Didn't know about this issue with saving. Might have to hold off, until this issue is resolved. Still got to get Last Window, Xenoblade, and Another Code though.

Never had an issue with my UMD. Perhaps it's just some obscure compatibility issue with a memory stick that large. I don't have a 16GB to know for sure.

Yeah I imported BoF3 from the UK and I can save just fine on my red God of War slim PSP. I'm using a 4gb memory stick though. It might be a compatibility issue with the 16gb stick, otherwise try downloading a save from the web.

I ran into this... it's an issue with the game. Can't save onto anything bigger than 512 or 1gb.

I had a Foto duo that had 16gb, and the only way I got it to work was slap in my 512 memory stick, save it, and then copy the files over exactly where it was.

Then I tested it by playing some more and seeing if the clock time changed and the save file updated, which it did.

you only would have to do this once.

It took me FOREVER to find the answer, Google had it in like page 9 or 10... ugh.

Nope, as I have a Japanese PSP and we play both Japanese and English games on it no problem. See above post for the problem.

No, I have games/saves from JPN, HK and US on mine and never was an issue for any of them.

Nice to know what the solution is now xycury mentions, I only have 4, 2 & 1 GB cards so it's not really an issue for me. (plus I have the BoF games on PS1 anyway).

Thanks! Now I just need to import this game and find my 512 or 1gb memory stick. I might have 256 lying around hope that works, I mean memory sticks smaller than 512.

Edit: I hope this has nothing to do with the brand of memory stick. I think my 256 and 1gb are Sandisk.

I think it's mainly a size issue, and the file is barely 30k... don't need much. I think anything less than 1gb should work, but I haven't tested a 4gb either.

hmm thats my guess. I'll have to try a smaller stick. I have the red GOW slim too

xycury: thanks for the solution

For me though, i just went to the first save point and saved.. and it worked. It gives the error message but it still lets you save. Im not sure if there will be an issue though, so i may have to try a smaller memory stick. I have a 2gb that came with my psp, maybe that would work
