my total value is somewhere in the 7 grand area, and i am still too embarrased to post it on this site and you are bragging at 1 grand?

I think he was talking about all the deals he acquired through CAG. I think that is the only way someone would be able to remember the value of all thay stuff

I think maybe the OP meant that he was able to purchase all of those for only $1000 thanks to CAG. I'm not sure what he meant by over the years, though, as CAG hasn't been on-line for a year yet?

I for one, am much better off for having found CAG. Thank you! :D

if thats the case thats cool, and thats what i thought at first by looking at his ps2/gcn games. but alot of his gba games are grade a titles that ive never seen deals for on CAG.

This is one of those "It looks as though everyone else is bashing him, I will too!" post.

BTW, nice collection of cheap games guys.

I concur. Thats awesome that u got so many games for so few dollasr! Congrats! I don't have a very big collection at all. I usually don't have a car to go checking, I don't have a job, AND I don't have a credit card. If u would like to make fun of my measley collection, check it out at users.ign.com/regisphilbi0 (zero, not the letter O). I have some SNES and N64 games but I loaned them both my cousin and they haven't given them back. WE don't see them very often so I haven't had a chance to get them back... Stupid, STupid, Stupid.

Thanks for the bashing guys--I'm sure I'll lose a lot of sleep over the lack of your support. Not even my model girlfriend, J.D. from a top-five law school, or $140K job in NYC will help me live down the embarrassment of being called a loser by strangers on the Internet.

Anyway, for the rest of you... The point of my post--and this was unclear, I admit--is that CAG has gotten me a lot of good deals, and I wanted to give them some credit. I don't have much time for gaming (see job, above) so I don't care about having a really large collection--I just want to have the games I like to play. And although I have plenty of money (see job, above), I like to get good deals on games. This site and others like it have netted me some fantastic deals (Super Mario Sunshine new for $4, Metroid Prime for $20 a few weeks after release day, I could go on).

The real point of my post was that for less than $1000 (two days' salary), I've bought all the games I'll ever have time to play, thanks in large part to this site.
140k/yr.. 2 days salary is roughly $760.
maybe he doesn't work on sundays.

but from the initial post, illennium, I didn't really get a sense that you were "thanking" CAG, maybe it's just me.

yeah well, rich boy, thats a whole fuckin lot of money...
i'd be absolutely ashamed to ever post my puny collection on this site for fear of being laughed at maliciously for the rest of my life on CAG.
its pathetic.
and he probably got castlevania AOS for 5.99 with that target deal.
i payed 7.48$. what a jip off.
lol jk

PS. the first guys collection is good, but where are all the FF's? you gotta have at least one FF to consider it a collection. even I do.
140k/yr.. 2 days salary is roughly $760.
It is $1,076.96 gross for 2 days on $140K/yr salary (base on 2080 hours work per year). If I made that much money, I don't care about waiting for games to get cheap. I will buy it when it is release, so I can play it, instead of wait for it to drop in price to play new games.
yeah well, rich boy, thats a whole shaq-fu lot of money...

I only listed my current-generation games (and some GBC games that got lumped in with the GBA games) because I didn't use CAG to get any of my older games. I also have about 80 PS1 games (including several FFs), 20 N64 games, as well as modest collections for the SNES (Super Metroid, Mario RPG, Yoshi's Island), Lynx, and 3D0 (don't laugh). My Dreamcast and all my DC games were stolen, so I don't include those (though I got a fat insurance check from that incident that I used to buy a PS2 and some games).

Oh, and I'm not rich. I make good money, but I also have $200K in law school loans to pay off at some point. And my family has no money, being first-generation immigrants. So someday I might be rich but right now I have to work my ass off to pay off my loans.

I'm sure it'll work out for you later on :)

and as for 3DO, I'm proud of it (hey, I have jaguar afterall). Super Street Fighter II Turbo rocks, except it only has 3 damn buttons on the face of the controller, and the directional pad also kinda sucks. Oh well.

Yep, and of course, we all believe you. No one would ever think about lying on the internet, perish the though!!

All that money and you can't buy yourself an ounce of class?
I'm pretty sure that there are probably a few finishing schools or etiquite classes available in New York City. Maybe you should look into one.

You know, I was ready to accept at face value what you said, but you keep throwing how much you make back up.
That to me means one of three things...

1. Your post is rife with lies.
2. You make what you say but lack class, tact and perhaps even decorum.
3. You're just begging to have the IRS audit you.
illenium, i understand what you originally meant. nice collection at a nice price!
He did have a valid point, but it wasn't very well phrased.
Thus, he got the responce that he did. Written differently with a more constrained scope, he would have got his point across much better. As it read intially, it looked like a person bragging about a relatively small collection, and calling it "large".

Anyway... I actually have a spreadsheet with everything (seperated by software and hardware) I've bought for my Xbox and the price I paid. So far I've averaged under $10 per game. I can barely resist picking up a game for $5-6 as I know it will lower (albeit barely) my average per game cost  Yes, I am a super-geek.

Right now I have 32 games and I've spent just under $300. (Not including tax and counting double discs as two games. So it's really 29 or so games I guess...)

I remember my N64, didn't seem like there were near as many sweet deals for its games (or maybe I just didn't know where to look). I think I topped out at 8 games and probably spent nearly $300 for them. Maybe more, can't remember if I actually paid full MSRP for all of them or not. Sheesh.

I knew there would be h8ers! :D

Nah, I have quite a few quality titles actually. I'd consider 12-13 of them to be 'A' titles, and maybe 5-6 to be stinkers. Hmm, I should add in the gamerankings score to my spreadsheet so I can give you an average

Must... resist... urge...

Uber-inner-geek demanding I add gamerankings scores...

Take a while to do it for 30+ games though.

Edited. Didn't take as long as I thought it would

Average score of 80.0% with 6 games 90% or above, 16 games 80% or above, and 5 games below 70%. Though of those I really enjoyed two. Pac Man World 2 and Fuzion Frenzy - still play a lot of that one. Kind of surprised FF only has a score of 67%.

Only problem is the gamerankings scores fluctuate as more reviews are added so you can't really record a score for posterity.

wubb...you are too much. You must have either all the time in the world, or you have a determined and disciplined uber-inner-geek within you.
