I have heard of Costco but don't have one near me, that vizio tv looks nice I have a different model in the living room. (XVT series)

I dislike the fact you have to watch the vizio logo five seconds after you turn it on.

Thanks guys, keep em coming ;)
A friend of mine was able to get the below TV for around $600 awhile ago...the price must fluctuate a little bit. For the money, he said it was an unbelievable buy!

I've seen that one as low as $550 shipped from marketplace sellers and on eBay.

I got the 32" version for $350 on eBay, I highly recommend it.

EDIT: I just checked on eBay and there's a listing for $530.

I have the 32'' version of the Vizio and have to say it was well worth the $500 I spent on it, got it at Walmart around $450 with my discount. I have played both 3d games and movies on mine and have really enjoyed it.

Thanks everyone, I just saw this tv on the very last page of the walmart black friday ad:

http://www.vizio.com/m3d420sr.html?SID=3srfmca6cp8dk7h851n6su1al0

On Friday at 8:00 AM this tv will be $598 plus tax

Has 4 pairs 3D glasses, 240 HZ, Wi-Fi, LED, 42 inch diagonal

This is looking like a great tv, am I wrong?

After confirming the other posts, this tv is basically the one you guys have mentioned but with double the refresh rate.

I am thinking about getting that tv too on black friday. The question is, will it be online as well? If not, how many tv's will each store get?
I really don't want to stand in like for 30+ hours unless its like guaranteed I will be able to get it.

Store employees hand out tickets to the items hours before hand.

No ticket no item even if you make it to the register and the item is still available because they should have numbers on the item corresponding to the ticket.

With that being said I know am interested in this tv XVT3D424SV
http://www.vizio.com/xvt3d424sv.html?SID=7lhap31lq3560mob25tleo9707

Most sites have it close in price to $600 but there's a problem, it doesn't come with 3D glasses.

Any deals coming up on this model with 3D glasses?

Yeah, I know about the tickets but the lines get so long here. Ive seen people lining up tuesday night last year..:booty:

^ That tv is good if you just want 3d since it is cheap for a 3dtv..but it doesn't have 1080p or led...ofcourse led would drive the price up a lot.

If you know someone in the military 51" but 720p

Plasma or Led/Lcd?

I saw the plasma tv that was posted before but I have heard nothing but bad things about plasmas like

Wastes more energy

Gets hot quick

Not really 600 hz

Prone to glare and can only look at tv straight on.

Is this all true?

Want a tv for my bedroom and my window is right by where the tv will go.

Found that tv here at Sams, the XVT3D424SV.

It's $500 and was a display model:cry:, I'm am checking if I can get a warranty and have it payed for it and in effect before I leave the store.

So which of these two Vizio models is better and why?

http://www.vizio.com/xvt3d424sv.html

OR

http://www.vizio.com/led-lcd-hdtvs/m3d420sr.html

P.S. I bought that display one tonight and got a warranty on it, I have 14 days to decide if I don't want it.

The XVT3D424SV I returned to Sam's is not 480hz, they list it as 480hz because when 3D is on with glasses each eye sees the picture in 240hz so they added the two eyes equaling 480hz.

The XVT3D424SV is a 240hz tv for most purposes.

Back to looking for a tv, if I went with plasma i'd only do 42 inch with 3D (glasses included) and 1080p.

Check if you have a SonyStyle near you, occasionally 2010 models trickle in at ridiculous prices. Picked up a Sony XBR46HX909 for a friend for 399.97 over the summer, which is a fully backlight local dimming LED TV, 240HZ refresh, etc etc. I have the 52HX909 in my bedroom and it is an unbelievable set.

They also had refurb 3D glasses 2 for $50 and they included a free 3D movie. I bought 8 pairs of refurbs and all look brand new, and sold the 3D movies since they were all ones I already had and recouped almost half the money I spent on glasses.

I got a 55" Sony 3D over the weekend at a local discount store for $950 and thought I got a steal, but you sir got the jackpot if you got an XBR for 399!

This may seem like a dumb question but for the 3D tv's, are they just as nice as non-3d tv's when watching something that's not in 3d? I mean if it has the same features - 1080p, 120hz, led - it'll be just as good but with 3d as an extra?

Correct, the 3D is just an added feature only used for Video games that are 3D capable like (Uncharted 3) and 3D Blu-Rays like (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2)

Other than that the tv will function like any other hdtv, when you need 3D you actually have to turn it on.

Lastly some cable companies like mine (time warner) have added a few 3D channels, I haven't looked into them but I have noticed them.

I wish u were my friend :)

I bought the Vizio M3D420SR from Wal-Mart for $598 at 8 AM, nobody was intrested in the Vizio but me, they all wanted that 65 Inch Toshiba for $998.

I really like the M3D420SR no complaints here you can even turn off the "VIZIO" light on the front of the tv, the box has Jeff Gordon on it and claims that some of the money goes to charity.

They only way I'd return this tv is if I'm blown away by plasma tvs tomorrow at Aarons (a local rent to own store) testing my PS3 out on a few tvs or if a great cyber Monday deal pops up.

Thanks everyone.

Talked with Amazon customer service over the cell phone for 35 mins, ended up buying this model http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model/TC-P46ST30with a price-match from one of their "eligible websites"

for the price of $679.99 (Price-match plus promo credit), I'm a "prime" member so it will be here soon.

It doesn't have any active 3D glasses provided (I know I broke my rule), but on the subject of active 3D glasses I heard a rumor I can get active 3D glasses made for another brand for example Sony and wear them upside-down and recieve the 3D effect.
http://3dtelevisionworld.com/3d-tv-set-compatibility-workaround-wear-3d-glasses-upside-down/

Lastly, I read about needed an SD card filled with colorful images needed to break-in the gasses of a Plasma screen tv is this true?

I hope I enjoy this tv since I was so Hellbent on getting a plasma, this is my 1st one.
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Toshiba-42-42TL515U/16617633

Just bought this. Very nice. Built-in WIFI so you don't need to buy a separate adapter like most TV's.
Comes with 4 glasses. Passive 3d

LED so your power bill will thank you. Only about 1 inch thick, great for mounting on wall.
If I didn't want a plasma as my next tv I would have got this one in a heartbeat.

The two things negative I have heard people saying about this Toshiba 42TL515U is that the sound is bad (to be expected nowadays) and pc input looks blurry when in full screen (if you plan on using it as a monitor, really?)
