CAGiversary!
Hello, everyone! This is an idea that was kicked around a bit and it seemed like there was a decent amount of interest in it. So, let's give it a shot.
League Info
Not to take anything away from the Official Madden League, this league is aimed at players who have struggled to compete in that league and are really still learning the game. If you had a better than .500 record, can tell me how to hot route your right cornerback into man coverage, and cover the field like a hawk with your MLB, then you're probably too advanced for this league.
If you had a record under .500, got blown out in several of your games, and can't for the life of you figure out how to stop Jamaal Charles, then you're in the right place. Yeah, I'm calling this a "JV League" with no shame at all. Why? Because some people are just gods at Madden, and if you're not at that level yet, taking 52-3 beatings by them isn't go to help you improve that much. The idea here is for people of a similar skill level to push each other and improve together. And who knows, maybe when things are said and done some of us will "graduate" to play with the Varsity squad again. There's just no reason we all can't have fun in the meantime.
So, if this is something you think you'd be a good fit for, please feel free to sign up below. Many of the rules from the other league will carry over to this one and there won't be any drastic changes. We will have a lottery for team selections, so there's no need to post your team choice. Just your XBL gamertag will be fine. Thanks!

Basic Rules
1. Respect your opponent! This league is meant to be fun and competitive, but going out of your way to show up your opponent will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:
*Showboating/flipping/cartwheeling into endzone - Diving for the goalline on a close play where you might actually be tackled is playing smart. But somersaulting into the endzone on a long run/pass/interception/fumble is showboating. Your opponent knows you're about to score. You don't need to rub it in.
*Running along the goalline horizontally as you're about to score - This should go without saying, but as long as we're covering showboating, let's address this too. Obviously, this would be considered rubbing it in. Just run the ball in the endzone, take your 6 points, and continue on with the game.
*Shake/nano blitzing - It's fine to shift your line (even multiple times if the offense is shifting back) or to move a defender to line up differently. But aggressively waggling multiple players back and forth before a play starts is trying to abuse an exploit. DO NOT do this.
2. Play fair and make decisions like a real NFL coach. This isn't to say never go for it on 4th down, but make sure that the situation calls for it. Yes, some coaches will chance it deep in an opponent's territory and try to punch it in rather than taking a field goal. That's a judgment call. Going for a 4th and 2 at your own 25 yd line is not.
*Quick subbing QBs IS NOT allowed (ex. 1st down: Flacco, 2nd down: Taylor, 3rd down: Flacco). If you want to change QBs you may do so at the beginning of an offensive series, or by pausing the game and sending a "subbing QB" message to your opponent.
*taking your kick returner and running him into the endzone and then back up, so he'll already be at full speed when he catches the ball IS NOT allowed.
3. DO NOT sign any free agents. We'll have a set time where everyone can pick up a free agent player if they would like to (probably around week 5).
4. Remember all trades must be proposed in the thread for evaluation from the community. If you want to save yourself some time (and probably some arguing), it would also be wise to post your reasoning for why the deal makes sense for you. When posting trades, please include the position of each player involved, their current rating, their age, and their potential.
Trades will be limited according to the following trade cap:
5 trades per season, 3 core players traded away max
90+ Player = 2 core players
80-89 Player = 1 core player
1st round pick = 1 core player
*trading players on your secondary team IS NOT allowed
*the trading deadline will be Week 10. trading after Week 10 is not allowed
5. Communicate. We're going to have to rely on each other to keep this thing going. Make yourself available to your opponent. Keep up with the thread, respond to PM's, and speak up if you ever have a problem or even an idea to improve things. We're here to compete, but we're also here to help each other get better.
6. Have fun!

Giants are looking to trade "Elite" quarterback and family retard Eli Manning for a speedy quarterback and whatever else can even out the deal.
