Man, that kicks ass. I knew about MK 1&2 and would have paid $20 for those two alone, but all the others just sweeten the deal.

im glad they put mk3 on there, even tho everyone hates it, its nice to have all 3 classic mk games on the same disc
so you get all of those games full for $20, nice...

is it for PS2? when does it come out?
all 3 systems, this fall, xbox live will have scoreboards
Nice, but the first compilation was better.
True, but then again it would be really, really hard to top the first one, especially for the same company. Maybe if Konami, Nintendo or Capcom made something like this it would be about as good or a little better. This ones still has a ton of greats :)
Smoke > Cyrax > Sektor
Street Fighter 2 > Everything else afterwards > Rock and Sock'em Robots > Mortal Kombat
Nice, but the first compilation was better.
i have major problems with the first one...specifically the controls in paperboy, who the hell thought that up?!?!

Smoke > Cyrax > Sektor
Street Fighter 2 > Everything else afterwards > Rock and Sock'em Robots > Mortal Kombat
guilty gear = street fighter

cool...i loved rampage several years ago....what games is in the first compilation that makes it so good? and will it be online enabled (b/c u said something about score boards for xbox)?

Sounds good. Hopefully they will put some effort into the presentation this time and also make the game more console friendly. They better put in some decent extras this time too.

hell yea for the first time in my life i will buy one of these old classic compilation games,,,,,mortal kombat!!!!!!!!! damn but wheres ultimate....and online play would be great lol..

everything else looks ahhhhh

I am all over this. Midway has been really digging theirselves out of that big ass hole they put theirselves in. They have been releasing good stuff lately. I am impressed.

Mortal Kombat 3 was actually a pretty good game. I would say it was on par with Mortal Kombat 2 in terms of fun factor. Most people associate good games with innovation (in this case, Mortal Kombat 2 was a giant leap forward from Mortal Kombat 1), which is why many say MK 2 was the better game. I thought MK3 was fun for what it was, even though it didn't bring anything completely new to the table.

Of course, this is entirely my opinion, and if you disagree, I'll pull out your spine, turn into a Dragon and bite your head off. TOASTY!

Bye.

Actually I would say that running in a fighting game was pretty new
power stone 2>>>>>>>>ssbm
SNK fighters >>>>>>>>>> all comers EVER

and punqsux, if i remember our trade, why would you need this :whistle2:k

CAPCOM has the best series with Street Fighter, but SNK has more good fighting games(due to them being their major bread winner financially)

i like supporting companies/playing games on my tv

yeah im weird lol

APB was one of my favorites in the arcade. Same goes for NARC. You young whippersnappers probably aren't old enough to remember Wizard of Wor. A fine game!

I also liked Primal Rage a lot, though I realize I probably stand alone on that one.

And who can forget Timber, the spiritual sequel to Tapper.

I will say that Pit Fighter blows.

I remember standing at Blockbuster for and hour and a half waiting on both Killer Instinct and Primal Rage to get returned. Me and my friend had spent the whole summer playing those games at Wet n Wild (Hurricane Harbor, maybe, I forget when the name changed)

I didn't even see Primal Rage until Psyclerk mentioned it. That was another one of those games I liked just because of the characters. I also believe it had the first time projectile vomit was used as an attack.

STUN Runner has gone too long without being a part of a compliation, and it's FINALLY going to happen! I'm suprised they're putting in three MK games as well, I thought it was just going to be two. This is going to be a pretty sweet collection. What would make it even sweeter is if they included the original San Francisco Rush (it's about 8 years old now) in the collection. Maybe next time.

But, FINALLY, STUN Runner is in a compilation.

Total Carnage is fantastic, anyone that can't find a good game on that list must not have played in an arcade in the 90's

I don't know, for some reason Total Carnage was never as popular as Smash TV was, though TC was basically a better version. I didn't like the war theme as much as the Running Man rip off theme, though.

And where IS Ultimate MK3? That better be a hidden unlockable or something.

And sadly, as a solo Cube owner... There will be no Cube release this time, if you haven't heard. :(

actually, there will be, if you haven't heard.

even though there's no reason to buy it unless it hits $5 new.

Controls was the main reason I got rid of my copy.

They had better be improved in the 2nd one.

I'm really feeling this one:

Arch Rivals- I used to have the arcade machine for this one and it's near and dear to my heart, hopefully it's the hometown heroes edition

APB- Great game, hands down

Championship Sprint/Hard Drivin'- both great car games, but the controls could get botched

MK 1, 2, & 3- It'll be great to be able to play them arcade perfect, hopefully with all the proper morphs as well that weren't in MK Triliogy

Xenophobe and Xybots- both great forgotten atari games.

The one that seems to really be missing is Escape From the Planet of the Robot Monsters.....

"April 23, 2004 - Midway has been planning a sequel to its classic games compilation Midway Arcade Treasures (released last December) since its Gamers Day 2004. However, the original February announcement was delayed due to negotiations between with Nintendo regarding the sequel's GameCube future. Two months later, discussions have ended, and Midway Arcade Treasures 2 is GameCube bound. The sequel, coming to all consoles, will contain 21 emulations from Midway's arcade library and is reported to include interviews with the games' creators and arcade histories. Also, Midway is focused on making sure this version accurately represents multiplayer games. "

Straight from IGN. (hey, i trust them with some stuff)
Steel Talons?! Aw man, my dad is gonna have a god damn field day with this thing.
You know it. Do you remember the old Steel Talons dual-seat VS arcade machines? Those were the days 8)
