Dota 2 and LoL always felt like work, LoL more so. Also I know I am green and don't know what I am doing mostly. How about an in-game tutorial? There are really newbie friendly games. I like to jump in, play, jump out like I do in TF2. BTW, I have some Dota 2 keys if anyone wants to trade any spare TF2 weapons and hats. No crates, please.

Fair point, I came from about 1000 games of LOL and was totally lost. I had to google a lot of information, but it was worth it. Once you get past learning the shop, last hitting, and most of the characters it feels a lot less like work.

Anyway if anyone is interested maybe we could set up a cag night. I have the compendium so everyone would get bonus XP and item drops (I believe).

I have a few extra keys. Just got some more... today, I think? PM me for some keys since I probably won't on this thread very frequently.

Tiny is such a late game beast. Really enjoying the crazy farm you can get.

New tutorial for Dota 2 is out.  I believe it's accessible even without a beta key.  It's not the greatest tutorial, but at the very least, you'll be able to play.  You also get cosmetic items for some of the heroes for completing the tutorials (for two heroes I believe).

Edit: And... Dota 2 is now officially released.

I'm playing this after briefly trying it out when they were first giving out beta keys, whenever that was.

I really suck at this game.  I don't like RTS, and so much of this is RTS type stuff, and that stuff is getting me killed (e.g. I'm constantly missing action or getting killed because my camera is in the wrong place).

I have friends who really enjoy the game that I'd like to play with, and I enjoy watching the game, so I wanted to give it an honest break.  I'm stepping my way through the tutorial, I'm now at the "play vs. humans" stage.  I'm assuming eventually that will be over, at which point if any CAGs are interested in tolerating a really shitty player, let me know!  Won't it be fun to essentially play one man down?  It's a challenge.  Valve should come up with an acheivement for that.

Anyone watching the international? I never watched this stuff, but its pretty cool to see how a pro team works

The International is great, and the way it's all incorporated into the game client is even more impressive.  I've been spectating a lot of these matches, I get my choice of announcers and POVs, and I can toggle stats and follow players if I choose.

As sports spectating goes, it's kind of comparable to watching an NBA playoff game.  Lots of action.  But IMO it's better than NBA as the team aspect is far more important in DOTA2.  No such thing as "isos" in DOTA2, at least not at the pro level.  You get something similar to that with 1v1 mid lanes, but that quickly fades away as the larger team strategy takes hold.

Because I am a student at school, I have quite a lot of time and I can play Dota2 whenever I want.My parents are against my games, but come on, what teenager hasn't gone through that?I explained to them that it is something temporary, that at the moment it is interesting to me and after a while, I will not be interested.By the way, if there is anyone here who plays this game, I want to recommend something that helped me a lot - Dota2 boosting service that gives me many opportunities.Did someone here try it?
