GAME not stocking Mass Effect 3 or EA games past SSX

If GAME is in such bad shape that they can't stock the biggest games like ME3, they're dead in the water. Can't be long before the administrators are in. :/
And you know this isnt them having a fall out with EA how ? Things like that have happened before.
Well I'm reading between the lines but Game weren't stocking some Ubisoft games the other day (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-02-21-game-wont-stock-ubisoft-vita-launch-games), and if you look at the reason "GAME is currently working with publishers on a title-by-title basis following its loss of credit insurance with the banks last month. " that tells me they are right in the smelly brown stuff.

absolute disaster for me. Traded in £75 quids worth of credit on Monday, and have £20 on points card. Was planning on getting SSX and ME3 then putting the rest towards max payne 3. Don't even know if they'll be around for Max Payne 3...fuck!

This can't be good for their business, considering how many copies this will sell and how they weren't stocking any Ubisoft Vita launch titles. How long will it be until they call in the administrators?

I didn't pre-order ME3 at GAME but I do have £5 credit on my reward card though, maybe I should use it :p

EDIT:
More bad news, no Mario Party 9 and other titles (Tekken 3DS and The Last Story)!

Yeah if I were you I'd be keeping a close eye on the situation, cos if it goes tits up people with credit have got a snowballs chance in hell of getting anything back, it might not get that bad of course.

EDIT - Stock has plummeted, but it looks like Gamestop may buy them

Yes but only EA and Ubisoft have withdrawn support all the other publishers are still providing games to them.
only EA
Only EA ???

Oh well when you put it like that, I thought it was one of the big publishers

They'll probably be fine :^o

Sounds like it's some sort of a credit issue with EA which has happened with other companies too. I'm not massively surprised that this is happening really considering what I've been hearing about GAME's issues in the past 6 months and about some of their stocking issues in the past few weeks.

Does not sound good. Went into Gamestation today and spent all my credit on Xbox points so I can use them whenever.

They still had Mass Effect 3 preorder boxes up on the shelves but said they weren't taking preorders anymore.

They were also giving away £5 vouchers for buying Prototype 2 in launch week with trade-ins so trying to push the sale of what they can get credit for I guess.

The market saw this coming. And 15% sounds like a lot but it was only a penny, if you look at the graph over the last 12 months you'll see that the damage has already been done.

I don't see the benefit of buying Game outright, surely it'd be better for a potential suitor to pick the carcass after it went into Administration. Banco Santander did this particularly well in the banking crisis of 2007/08.
This is no surprise to me, I don't like GAME much anyway.
Brace yourself for it to get worse if Gamestop take it over.

Why would Gamestop buy them out though, haven't they moved out / decided to move out of almost all of Europe in the past few months? I know they said they're moving out of all of the UK and Portugal. They will remain here in the Republic of Ireland because they've been doing so well and since there isn't any sort of online market like in the UK but I don't think they've been doing well elsewhere in the EU at all.

I get all of my games via amazon or supermarkets because they are cheaper. I am guessing if GAME go down Gamestation will follow shortly after.

where's a good place to grab ME3 now then? preferably if there's any freebies involved!

It's a damn shame about what's happening here mind, ME3 would be one of the biggest sellers of the year I imagine, and if they can't sell any, they're missing out on a lot of profit which would've undoubtedly helped out with re-securing any companies they're having trouble with. It's a snowball of trouble for Game.

Neither do I

...well, not until April 17th when Witcher 2 is released. I can finally spend my GAME Gift Card.

Then they can pretty much go to hell.

I'm not at all surprised to hear this. The prices at GAME are rediculously expensive compared to online stores and supermarkets. I presume gamestation is in the same situation and if that goes in to administration, the only thing I would miss is the price match trade-in offer

Same here, haven't really shopped there for years now. Apart from a few games fall of last year when they actually had a decent trade in offers.

They are too expensive, I remember one time when Call of Duty World at War came out - £39.99 in GAME I picked it up for £25 on launch from Asda. Not to mention their trade in prices aren't very good, used games are in terrible condition and the staff (in my experience) always bother customers and give out false information.

+1

Exactly my thoughts

And the bad news just keeps rolling in! Read it HERE!

GAME are not stocking Street Fighter X Tekken or Asura's Wrath - no decision made on Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City yet. So, things can't get any worse right?

I'd say the only way it could get worse would be if Activision pull their stocking games with GAME but to be honest I don't see GAME lasting as late as whenever the next CoD game arrives.
