Why hasn't mass effect 1 hit $10 yet?

Apparently the lowest it's ever been on amazon is $15.49

Mass effect 2 actually dropped to $10.49

Is it reasonable to expect the price for mass effect 1 to dip after the release of mass effect 3? I was loaned the game and beat it years ago, but now I want to own it, just can't bring myself to pull the trigger yet.

No, really $10 is never a reasonable "regular" price point for a game. We're all just spoiled because of all the great deals we find using CAG.

It's a Platinum Hits game that's still fairly popular, so you will likely never see it dip below $15 unless a retailer has extra stock and decides to "clearance" it.

Gamestop jacked the price up with ME3 coming out. It was 17.99 used during the Buy 2 Get 1 sale last week, but the last day of the sale it jumped up to $24.99 used.

I played ME2 around January 2011. I have been waiting ever since for ME1 to come down to around $10, but have had no luck. I'd really like to play it for the story and character choices to carry over, but I hear it isn't as polished as ME2 and can't justify paying more than $10 for such an old game. I hope it will eventually drop.

I bought Mass Effect 1 platinum Hits used for $10. A few months later Gamestop jacked the price up right before ME2 came out.

I also have a steam copy I got for $5.

Yeah I remember they had it at Kmart for 10-11 awhile back. Honestly would rather have the PC version on Steam for 5 then have the console version. Controlling the AI partners on 360 was annoying, whereas the PC version was more like ME2 (if i remember it correctly)

I think ME is classic thats why just like batman : AS, i have never seen that game lesser than
13 bucks, I'm waiting to buy it until it reaches 5 bucks

Damn, and here I am thinking it might drop in price in time for ME3.

Now I'm hearing retailers do the exact opposite.
