Calculate Gamestop's Trade-in Value - No need to call

Any mod can move this to the appropriate forum, but I thought I'd post here because a lot of CAG's are thinking about using the $2 CC games with Gamestop's trade 3 get extra 10 gamebucks. I was playing around with some Tradestop trade in values and a few known recent Gamestop B&M trade in values and quickly found out that if you multiply the Tradestop trade in value by 1.4 they all come out pretty close to a whole number. And so far those calculated values have been dead on to Gamestop's B&M value. So far the lowest Tradestop value I've come across is $2.85 which converts to $4 for Gamestop. I've seen quite a few 'Overstocked' on the website and I can only think that those values are probably between $1-3. Below are a few examples,

Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu (PS2) = $3.56 x 1.4 = $5 @ Gamestop
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (Xbox) = $2.85 x 1.4 = $4 @ Gamestop
The Cat in the Hat (PS2) = $5.70 x 1.4 = $8 @ Gamestop

That's the value before the trade 3 for an extra 10 gamebucks promo. So add $3.33 to the calculated price for the current trade in value.

I don't know...this is still only a slightly proven method but it was dead on exact on five titles I checked it on. I was surprised when I saw LPT's value...I was hoping someone would come back and confirm that value.
 
The prices I get at B&M Gamestops are usually way more than the prices at Tradestop. At least for older games.

So, Gamestop will give you about 40% more than what Tradestop will give you.

Nice to see there's some structure to their prices....
Unlike FYE/Wherehouse.... they just hand out store credit like they're sick of holding on to it.

God I love them.
 
yea Gaystop is giving 30 for Tekken 5 and 22 for SWKOTOR 2 Sith Lords Xbox if only EB gives this kind of deals since they have more sales on games!!
 
Just got back from GS. Got back $120 for the CC games I traded in plus some other XB games I had laying about.

I asked what the trade in for La Pucelle was. It is 6 bucks as posted before.

MC 2 is Midnight Club 2, which is $3.56 on TS.
DC2 would be Dark Cloud 2, and, yes, it is $4.99 on TS.
