Dragon's Dogma - Capcom wants to sell 10 million copies, has shipped 1 million so far

Lofty goal 10 million sales? It would mean it would outsell Skyrim, dragon's Age & Monster Hunter.

I have interest in this game but I'm sure if this is a day 1 buy but Capcom has EXTREMELY HIGH goals for this title(which I don't see happening). For a new IP to move that many copies would be epic(an it's not a Wii title in Wii's prime), RDR will reach that goal if it already hasn't & maybe Batman AC will get there too. But for a game not associated with Halo, COD, BF3, GT or GTA & with Capcom's current track record with DLC I just don't see it happening. In all honesty I don't think RE will reach 10 million(more like 8) & that demo is what's supposed to help propel this games sales.

edit:however the CAG in me will make this a day 1 purchase if Capcom has an amazing pre-order credit deal & a must have CE.

I've seen zero promotion for this, I had no clue what this was and I'm an avid gamer. They had better start promoting this game if they hope to even sell 1M copies. 10M seems laughable.

well capcom's confirming this will be a continuing franchise but sales haven't been anywhere near what they stated from the start. I just want them to keep supporting the current game 1st before really getting focused on the next one.

Not suprised it's not selling like they expected. I did like it at first, but after getting bored with it after only owning for less than a month I'm already ready to trade it in.

I think most people would rather wait for the ultimate arcade GOTY edition. Knowing CRAPcom, it should be released soon.

only reason i still have this game- RE6 demo. i played it for 1 day and did not like it at all. feels like capcom wanted to make something epic but the characters look like there from a fighting game and combat is just boring.
