Red Dead Redemption GOTY (360/PS3) - 27.99 @ Newegg

Still kicking myself for missing out on this for $19.99 @ Bestbuy in December. I do currently own the vanilla, but can anyone input on this being a good deal or not solely based on the DLC content ? Not sure if its even worth trading in the vanilla anymore, I'm sure the TIV has tanked by now.

Vanilla version TIVs are surprisingly not terrible at the moment:

Amazon :360: / :ps3: - ~$12
Best Buy :360: / :ps3: - ~$11 after +50% bonus and GCU ($7 before promos)

What's a TIV, and what have you not linked to in the above post?

TIV = Trade In Value. The amount of store credit (in dollars) that retailers will give you for turning in specific game titles. Amazon and Best Buy's TIVs are listed for the original edition of Red Dead Redemption in case someone was wanting to get rid of their copy and "upgrade" to the game of year edition, which contains additional content.

Extremely worth the price at $30 - got mine on the best buy deal along with ac revelations! still lovin it, hell of a deal.
I think I'm going to hold out for 20 on this bad mother still...
I am as well. Got enough backlog at the moment to wait out another $20 sale...

I've had the vanilla forever, but just got Undead Nightmare at Target for $5.98 and having a blast with it.This isnt a bad price for those that don't own the game at all.
FYI

PS3 has an extra side-mission and costume I believe.

360 has crisper graphics / less frame drops.
You're right about the 360 version being better visual and performance-wise, but with the GOTY edition all of the PS3-exclusive content from the vanilla version is included on the 360 GOTY edition as well.

360 plays in true 720. The ps3 version isn't. More of an active online community on the 360 version too. Borrowed my friends ps3 copy and lots of googling differences between the two.

Target just dropped this down to 29.99 recently and Amazon has it for 29.96. Couple dollars more but eliminates the hassle of shipping. If you have a Redcard you can get an extra 5% off at Target.

This game is sooo good. Honestly. And the online community is still active. If I didn't already own this, I'd pick it up in a heart beat.

Ditto. :applause:

The whole reason why I bought a 360 was for this game.

I am still loving my vanilla copy but I wouldnt mine trading it off for GTA V down the line and getting the complete copy for 20 bucks.

Loved this game, was lucky to grab this at a local pawn shop the other day for $8, but if you havent played it, definitely give it a shot!
