HALF OFF any collectors edition 3 months or older at Sacramento/Elk Grove Bestbuy!

Went to my local Bestbuy in Elk Grove, CA today to pick up Darkness II and the gaming supervisor RIZ told me that any collectors edition that's been out for 3 months or more are half off. They're trying to get some traffic in and old stock out. He gathered a few collectors edition and placed it on a table near the PS3 section although if you find a collectors edition that's not on the table but is 3 months or older it should still qualify for half off. I managed to get the last copy of Darkness II for the PS3 and I also picked up AC:R and Soul Calibur 5's Collectors edition for a total of $56.00. I was told that this may only be for TODAY but Riz is trying to push for the whole week.

Some collectors edition I saw:
Xbox-PS3: Prototype 2 (includes steelbook)
PS3 - Mass effect 3
PS3 - Saints row 3
Xbox-PS3 - Soul calibur 5
Xbox-PS3 - Resident Evil ORC Bestbuy Limited edition
Xbox - Final Fantasy XIII-2 (1 left)
Xbox - Street Fighter X Tekken

All were about $40 to $35 after the half off. The collectors edition didn't ring up as half off so you would need to see a gaming associate or speak to Riz to get the price adjusted.

I thought the same thing but never thought much more about it lol. I asked about the pricing on each one and they were all about $40-$35. Too bad there wasn't Skyrim's collector edition left.

Thanks op. Always nice to see local cags. I live in Roseville so that would be well over a 1/4 tank of gas for one and I'm a collector edition loser, so I already have pretty much all of them. Waiting on street fighter tekken but I'm sure this will hit 30 everywhere no problem. I wish Roseville BB would be cool like your store though.

Anyone able to get some penny guides from that store recently?
 
Dang, I'm in Elk Grove but don't think I'm going to be able to make it tonight....I really should head over now but think I'm going to end up there tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up! I'd love to get the SF x Tekken CE for 50% off.

The Elk Grove store is not one of the BB's that's scheduled for closing. I think the closest one that's shutting down in Pittsburgh/Antioch.
 
I went by the store, and didn't see much. There was a table over there but it said 50% off stuff with console purchase o_O Anyway, the only CEs I saw were FF XIII-2 and SC V, so not interested.
 
nice I'm in the elk grove area also, they seem to be out of the darkness 2 for PS3, had to problems finding a 360 ver
