With the Playstation Store putting the digital version of the game on sale for $20.99 for regular PS3 owners and $14.69 for those on PS+, as detailed in the weekly PSN game sale thread run by FriskyTanuki I figured now would be a good time to create a thread to house all of the videos you guys will hopefully be creating for this game.

I myself have been making some videos already since I got back into playing this game about 1-2 weeks ago and started uploading videos soon after.

Mostly I've just been going around trying to take over all of the villages/settlements in the game BEFORE proceeding with the story or faction missions.

Anyway, here's one of mine to start things off. It's just me messing around on one of the not-so-secret spots in the game(Mile High Club):

First of all: hello!

I've been using CAG for quite a while for all my cheapassery gaming needs, but never posted!

I love JC2, bought it a while back. ALL I do is mess around with the helicopters.
If I destroy an oil rig or military airport, I just die and reload the previous save, keeping them intact in case I want to fly in there again and run amok.

That jet fighter one is nuts. Too bad it hadn't been a cliff he was headed towards. It would've been interesting to see if the pilot could've righted it if it fell off the side of the mountain.
 
I know. I love at 2:00 how it goes in between the traffic like one of those Worlds Craziest Police Chases videos.
 
I fnally got to play this a little bit last night but didnt get very far yet. God it sux getting old and tired! I cant beleive it has been two years since I last played this game. Taking me a bit to get used to it again. If I can capture something good I will post it in the coming days.
 
Anyone beat 93% complete for their save? The only thing I haven't finished are the three main cities and all the races. Races just bore the shit out of me so I don't think I'll ever bother with them. Otherwise I have almost everything in the game. Such a fucking great game.

By the way, the most frustratingly difficult sections of the map to take over in this game are the Panau City sections(Financial, Park, Docks and Residential districts). There's literally a ton of smaller wooden water towers, gas stations and just tons of collectibles. Each collectible will sometimes only give you 1% towards the 100% total. I finally finished all four of them this morning, but two of them are at 100% but without the green check mark on them.:bomb:

I was at about 76 or 77% when I stopped playing back when the game came out. I was an idiot and deleted my save so I have to start again, but I really think I am going to try and get 100% little by little. I doubt I will ever get there as my ADD will kick in at some point and I will get bored of it, but I agree that this is a fucking GREAT GAME. I was in awe again last night when playing for the first time in two years. This is still the bnenchmark game in my opinion for open world games. No one else has filled their world as much and made the world so friggin huge! And yeah technically other games worlds are larger in regards to map area, but they cant compete when you add the fact that you can go EVERYWHERE in this game. EVERY single square foot of space is accessible, which is amazing.
 
That and the fact every system is extremely detailed physically. Planes handle differently and are well designed, as are boats, cars, etc. I personally just enjoy flying my planes into shit just to see the different reactions. Yes, I'm quite the terrorist of Panau haha. That or landing them safely on a busy highway or remote island. Extremely rewarding gameplay that is. All the little easter eggs are fantastic as well if you find them yourself out exploring, like the Mile High Club.
 
The "shark" is one of the coolest easter eggs around. Along with another large beached mammal. The world is so large, I never would have found either without knowing about them because in the course of getting over 75% I never found them on my own. Crazy.

If you search YouTube you'll actually see people who created plane crash videos complete with Arabic music in the background.:whistle2:#

Actually if you just sit with the video recording feature on on top of one of the shorter skyscrapers in the major cities, you'll eventually see the AI crash a plane or chopper into one of the towering skyscrapers all on their own.

I always kinda wondered why I'd hear explosions going off like something crashing when I used to play the game before. I managed to catch the tail end of a jetliner crashing into the tallest building in the residential section of Panau City the other night, complete with debris flying every which way while most of the body of it fell straight down.

Yeah it is. My one buddy from PSN made a video of him trying to 'move' it using a chopper. Unfortunately I think he pressed L1 at the wrong moment and he lost sight of it or it just straight up disappeared.:whistle2:#

That list from CheatCC is really nice though, since if you just wanna see the easter eggs and go straight to em you can just choose the closest extraction point and quick travel to there.

By the way, in case you guys didn't check the map legend the lil blue dots on the map are drug drops(aka one of the collectibles in the game). Along with skulls(only ever found 1-2 so far) and black boxes(usually at the bottom of the ocean) there's a lot of things to collect to get to 100%.
 
The 'Future Is Now' vid is awesome. I want a bladeless heli!

I just recorded the full 10 minutes allowed of helicopter mayhem.
I was only planning on a 3-4 min vid, but then another awesome explosion happened, then another, then another, I didn't want to stop LOL.
No idea how many enemy choppers i took down, but it felt endless.

Waiting for the youtube upload (shame it takes sooo long).

One of my favorite moments was having one of those big ass 747's crash into a building as I was speeding along in a car and I'd never have known it except the wreckage landed right in front of me. Just fell out of the sky and crushed everyone in the intersection. Scared the shit outta me haha.

You should. I'm still having a blast with the game, especially now that taking over those 4 sections of Panau City are done and they're at 100% each(though two of them still lack the green check mark:bomb:).

I couldnt get out of the building and had to kill myself. This was the first time I remember this happened to me as I swear I didnt get into too many glitches over the 70 plus hours i played 2 years ago. But maybe I have forgotten.

Well i just created a youtube account and found some pretty cool channels today. I'm about to stop smoking so i don't know how good my vids will be right now, i only have 1 bongload left and don't plan on smoking till gta 5 comes out. I've been pulling off some crazy jet tricks and parachute and grappling hook combos playing on hardcore. I just love the ak in this game. Stupid ps3 got an error the other day and i had to reformat my hd only game save i still have is my gt5 one currently redownloading the 80+ games i have on my account.

I was too. Even though I always say I hate how companies seem to tack on mp to every game nowadays, I kinda wish JC2 had some sort of free mode mp. It woulda been fun to roam around the huge enviro with other players. Of course, many of them would likely go comandeer a fighter jet and try annihilating me, thus making me hate that mode quickly.:whistle2:#

It is one of those games that I wanted to play with friends for sure. I would talk about it on vent all the time and wish that people could join. Games of chicken would be fucking hilarious lol.

I played some Mercenaries 2 with a friend over PSN once or twice and that was just pure fun. Shame that EA shut down Pandemic Studios, so there likely will never be another Mercs game. They had planned on making an online mp Mercenaries games before they got shut down.

Albeit I never did finish Mercs 2 cuz I got stuck on that one 'defend the church' mission, where they had mf'n tanks coming at you from all sides. After playing so many other missions and them being so easy by comparison the difficulty went through the damned roof with that one.:whistle2:#:roll:

I finally passed it the one time, then I decided to trade in my 40gb PS3 towards a slim PS3 and didn't realize that EA/Pandemic had copy protected the saves.:bomb: I didn't have a flash drive large enough to save all of my saves to and due to the copy protection it wouldn't let me copy over that save without copying everything else.:bomb::bomb::bomb:

Could you imagine a race mode similar to the GTA Races in GTA IV in that? You could stunt jump to the hood of your car as you're whizzing down the highway and shoot out the front tires of opposing cars, causing them to flip in a fashion similar to that of the show The A-Team. It would be glorious.;):drool:
 
Some of my videos are getting hit numbers in the double digits now.:shock: Not only that but my one buddy(kaution9876) whose 'The Future Is Now' video I think I linked in here had one video that was almost into triple digits. I guess a lot of the hits are more than likely coming from folks in this thread, but I also noticed I have a few subscribers or followers on there now.;)
 
I just got that glitch like my friend did that uploaded the video "The Future Is Now". I had a rotorless chopper and I was about to upload a video of it to YouTube when the game messed up. It got stuck at the 'uploading to YouTube' screen without taking me into the screen to sign into YT.:cry:

Oh well.

I just had the same exact issue the other day. I really wanted to load that up. It wasnt quite the same glitch though, it was more where I hooked onto a chopper and it disapeared. Oh well.
 
Alright. I guess we've all been slacking off on making videos in this game the last week or so. I went back to playing GTA IV with a couple of friends, one of which likes to collect all sorts of vehicles and then snaps a pic of the collection on screen, while the other two have been playing free mode again just putzing around.

I can't believe this airplane race i had didn't tape last night. There is a really sic one where you fly down a waterfall and under a bridge and i was doing all kinds of crazy barrel rolls and surfing on the plane and proceded to go on a 5 minutes rampage afterward and it didn't freaking tape. I'll try again tonight since i got a little bit o purple.

Try again, the prop planes are really easy handling once you get used to it. I found those plane races to be a lot of fun actually. Much more fun than the car races.
 
I just finally got the hang of flying the fighter jets without crashing into the ground. Although I still can't do a barrel roll or anything with them.

Oh c'mon, the real thrill in a jet is flying upside down under a bridge. That always gets the adrenaline rushing.
 
:lol:That reminds me that I've been meaning to get back into JC2 again, but I've been playing Dead Island and Inversion co-op with other CAG's over the last week. So I don't know when I'm gonna get back to playing this game again.
