Hey guys, what do you think about Binary Domain for $13.99? I had a decent time with it on the Xbox, but only finished the first two chapters due to time constraints. I imagine it might go under $10.00 if I wait until the Christmas sale. Can't decide.

I couldn't say enough good things about it, loved it. It's a steal at this price. It gets better and better as the game goes on and you run into more epic bosses and the story really starts to pick up.

I am always so tempted to buy Railworks (and the DLC) so I can just run around going 'lolololol' like a retarded monkey. Good thing I can suppress that utterly retarded side of me or I'd be in trouble.

If you are considering all the Company of Heroes games, wait an hour. They sometimes lower the prices of the bundles a bit after they put a franchise on sale like that. Though not always.

$10 for Arkham City is good, but the DLC puts it near the price of the whole package, but I've already got Arkham Asylum (not GOTY). Should I just a la carte AC and Harley's Revenge for $13.58. Any of the other DLCs good. I'm looking more for story than challenge map stuff.

Company of Heroes for $2.50 is a must buy deal. I wish I didn't so totally suck at it because I can tell it's a great game.

Just buy AC and Harleys Revenge. The rest of the DLC is just challenge map stuff.

Ticket to ride in the new indie bundle, too bad i own the other games

This. I want Ticket to Ride really bad, but I can't justify it since I already own 3 out of the 5 games in this bundle. Well, that and I already have the board game, the XBLA version and the iPhone version.

Defcon is a really good game, but it really should be 75% off... not 66%.

BTW, I showed my non-gaming wife the Train Simulator game. I pointed at all the DLC and the prices. She looks at it and looks at me, what game is it? I show her. "They expect a person to pay that *!@&#! price for a train simulator? Who the *$%&@(@ would pay that for a train simulator??" LOL (she never curses which is why it's so hilarious to me)

Not a lot for me today, but I'm not disappointed. Getting Civ5 makes this summer sale a success in my eyes.

Here's something that I found out about Company of Heroes. I had bought the game (and first expansion) a few years back. When you register the games with Relic, they are associated with your Relic account. Someone here informed me that when you purchase any of the games on Steam, it downloads the whole game including both expansions.

I purchased the 2nd expansion, tied it to my Relic account and I can play all three games on Steam, even though I only bought the last expansion on it.

Obviously this only works for people who had bought the game via retail or another site, but it will allow you to play the whole series on Steam, even if you have purchased them elsewhere.

No dude, not "lolololol". "Bazinga" would be more appropriate ;D

So, how does GTA4 run on the PC? I heard they did a horrible job optimizing it, but I also heard they patched it and it runs a lot better now.

I bought just GTA IV on the PC a few sales back because of how poorly it ran on the 360 and the PS3. To me, the PC version is leaps and bounds above the console version. With a mild gaming PC I am able to run the game with near max settings and it's much smoother than either console version.

Saw Duke on sale for 75% off, rushed to the page in order to buy the DLC, and found that "The Doctor Who Cloned Me" was only 50% off. Steam has done a lot to protect my wallet this year...

Some people in this thread are acting like the Easter bunny just left them turds in their basket. I'm not really sure what everyone is expecting from this sale but there's 12 days of multiple deals. If you are like the average Steam CAG then you have a ton of crap so yeah 90% is not going to be for you. That doesn't mean it isn't for anyone. For someone somewhere and probably a lot of someones these are deals.

Oh and @ Pantsattack. I am really disturbed. That cannot be unseen!

Not going to quote it because seeing it once is enough.

It's been that price a couple of times already during this sale; once at least. Yes, it's a good price if you don't already have one of the games.

Reload. It's been doing that to me since the first day.

It runs better now, but it's still very poorly optimized. Drops to 30-35 FPS with it maxed out on my computer in many areas and it's fairly high-end.

It is starting to feel like they blew their wad on the first couple of days of the sale here lately. Between rehashed voting and putting some of the same stuff on sale at least 2 times since in 5-6 days, I hate to say this but it really feels like this Steam sale is running out of... steam. Today's daily deals are pretty meh. Unless some good flash sales and community vote sale pop up today may just indeed a well needed rest for many peoples wallets.

Good enough price for Black Ops. Would've happily bought MW3 at $20.

I like the skins, it's really cool to play as regular gray+blue Batman.

Is SecuROM really a dealbreaker?

Looking at the GTA collection and IV/Episodes from Liberty City utilize the DRM. I've just never (knowingly) had any experience with it.

SecuROM is a DRM suite and publishers can employ a number of different measures it offers. Pay attention to any that limit installs and avoid those. Particularly those that impose limits and offer little to no means of revoking the install.

SecuROM offers a revoke tool for many games so that you don't lose one of your installs. Occasionally, the publisher will opt for an enforcement that auto-renews X number of installs per month.

Other SecuROM implementations don't restrict installations at all and act as more of a "disc check".

Some people report issues with SecuROM. I personally have not experienced a single one. It's a very common method of DRM in PC games and it is not as invasive (or potentially destructive) as others.

I find it offensive when I could potentially be locked out of a game I purchased without due process or a reasonable means to regain access, but I am also not one of those people who vigilantly fight the use of any DRM as means of protection. I personally find SecuROM to be among the least problematic when it is not associated with an install limit. You kind of have to decide for yourself where you stand on the issue.

I wish I wouldn't have clicked the spoiler...

And let's be fair. I don't have hardly ANYTHING but haven't purchased for the past 2 days. Costume quest is the hemming and hawing object of the day. That's about it. I am disappointed. Especially when Amazon seems to be spanking Steam this year.

Hahaha. I was dying when I saw the price of all the DLC.
Nothing interesting for today. I'm fine with that though, I have no interest in going to GameStop anyhow.

OK, thanks.

Amazon is taking Steam to school once again. Better prices on Binary Domain, Sniper Elite V2, and Spec Ops: The Line. Hats off to Amazon for crushing it sales wise against Steam this summer.

When did Amazon sell all the Batman games for $25? How about Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition for $10 and Fallout 3 GOTY for $5?

I love Amazon and their deals, too, and they've been really good on a lot of things, but to say that they're "crushing" Steam at this moment is crazy talk. Hyperbole is a treatable disease.

Do you enjoy invasive privacy-bypassing impossible-to-uninstall DRM solutions?

If you do, then it's totally not a dealbreaker.

You know what, I actually don't enjoy any of that.

I loled.

My wishlist has been pretty much covered besides Arma II. I have a bunch of other smaller games that are on sale for like $2.50 or $4.99 and doubt that they will drop anyway.

I just keep hoping for a random game to pop up that I forgot about because you know, I just love throwing money at Steam!
