Looking for Sega Saturn S video cable

hello all
anyone know of anywhere i could get an svideo av cable for the sega saturn. I am having a rediculously difficult time finding one. Any help is appreciated.
 
Oh dang that's crazy. I remember hunting around for one when I owned a Saturn like 5 years ago. Sega only released a first party S-video cable in Japan so that's why they are so hard to find. I didn't know there was 3rd party ones. Anyway at the time I lucked out and found a seller on Ebay that had some old stock they were clearing out at the time and I paid a normal price probably like 15 bucks or something. I personally would ask dv8mad here on CAG if he can help you get one since he lives in Japan. I gotta say that cable (can only speak for first party version) made a big difference though, it made the picture so clean and sharp. It's definitely worth hunting down even if it takes a while to find a sane price.
 
im thinking i might be able to make the wire....from what i read svideo is native output for the system so no electronics are needed. Im going to give it a go. If it works ill post a tutorial or maybe try to make and sell them :)
 
Didn't realize how scarce these became, I bought mine very cheaply about two years ago.

As an alternative you could pick up a SCART RGB cable for the Saturn and a SCART to component converter, the signal is even cleaner than S-Video.
 
Depends on the games, but if they're not worth anything then that's about $10-$20 above what you could expect on ebay.
 
found an svideo on ebay for less than $20 shipped pretty good price for kick ass picture quality,might still hack the cable i got but for now its time to get a chip that works
 
I need an s-video cable for my saturn too. If anyone can post a link to one on here it would be greatly appreciated
 
I did a search at Amazon for "s-video saturn" (DON'T put sega, it seems to poison the search with other hits for other sega consoles), and there are tons of cheap (under $10) results.
