Ok so I watched the Daily fix on ign for august 31st only to see that Skyrim DLC may never be released. If you watch the video the head of bethesda community explains that it is complicatd for the DLC to work for PS3 and that they have tried to make it work. The issues of adding extra content will also be difficult, but they are working with sony to solve the issue.

So my question is...

Should I just go buy the xbox version of Skyrim if I want the DLC or should I wait to see if the DLC will ever be released? :hot:

go with xbox 360 version, the ps3 version has glitches / and bugs that cause your ps3 to freeze and crash. so if you wanna save yourself the headaches, you should just get the xbox 360 version

If you have a PC that can run Skyrim and J am sure you probably do then. Just get the game for the PC since that is what it actually plays best on. The mods are also a plus for it.

The 360 has been Bethesda's lead SKU since Oblivion so it's best to just buy that version. (not disputing the quality of the PC version mind you but rather pointing-out that Bethesda makes games for 360 first and then ports them elsewhere...poorly)

As for the PS3 version = It is, was, and forever will be a total and complete clusterfuck of a release.

Do all us PS3 gamers a favor and buy it used on the 360 so Bethesda doesn't get any more $ from shafted PS3 gamers who have to turn to an alternative to play their games.

Buy it used on the 3shitty or get the pc version which is the real version. Console versions suck ass, with the 360 sucking somewhat less ass then the assy shit we got on PS3.

PC: Steak with flaws
360: Shit burger
PS3: Shit Sandwich with all the shit fixings of shit to make it the shittiest.

you could get the ps3 version for cheaper, but you'll be getting what you pay for.

i disagree. the 360 version released sooner because the game came out before the ps3 launched. it was actually a better game for the ps3, coming with the knights of nine expansion, and the graphics were slightly better too.

i just think bethesda has dropped the ball, possibly on purpose, due to some cozy deal they have with microsoft. they are not putting in the resources they need to in order to get a quality game on the ps3. i never had any problems with oblivion or fallout 3. did bethesda forget how to program for the ps3 over the past couple of years or something?

Actually the Oblivion port wasn't done by Bethesda it was done by someone else and it played better than the 360 one too not just graphically.

I think your post is lacking in the feces department.

The PS3 port of Oblivion was done by 4J Studios and it is widely considered the only Bethesda Gamebryo game on PS3 which actually performs well. (some argue even better than the 360 version)

The odd man out here is New Vegas which was done by Obsidian using Bethesda's busted Gamebryo implementation which was then mostly taken over by Bethesda post-release. (it's been awhile but I believe that Obsidian focused on DLC while Bethesda spearheaded the patches)

PC or 360

I bought it for the PS3 and after 50 hours or so the game becomes unplayable.

Its one of my 2 plats though, had to reset the game after a couple hours of gameplay to fix the lag.

How is the game unplayable on ps3? I have seen a tiny bit of slowdown here and there, hardly any and played for about 125 hours. The slowdown i have seen isn't really even that bad and actually enhanced the experience if you ask me. I don't see anything wrong with the game but i am posative the pc is the best version.

I've been leery of buying anything Bethesda developed since they refused to fix the vampire bug in the PS3 Oblivion: GOTY edition. I almost bought the PS3 Fallout 3: GOTY edition when it was super cheap at BB, then read page after page of all the problems it had and cancelled the order. It seems they have just become progressively more lazy.

has Bethesda ever released a game that flopped in sales? it seems like every game they release turn into gold, because it always has a goty version.

Brink, is all I gotta say.

If you have the ability to play on both 360 and PS3, why are you playing the PS3 version to begin with? Bethesda's focus has been clear (PC, 360), for many years now.
