PS3 Question

Hi everyone,

I was looking to get a second PS3 (and provide potential security against my original one dying since the fans keep seeming to kick into overdrive). I wondered what you would do:

1. Buy a refurbished 60GB PS3 to play PS3 and PS2.
2. Buy a new PS3 slim + a new PS2
3. Buy a new PS3 slim + refurb PS2

I am open to other suggestions, but I wondered if anyone had any recommendations on items such as refurbished PS3s and whether the newer ones were better?

Buy a new PS3 slim + a new PS2.

I would get the new slim since it is smaller and produce less heat. The top loading would also mean less wear than slot loading.

Ty so would it be less wear on the system or games or both?

Definitely don't buy any refurbs, I don't trust them. A new ps2 shouldn't go for much (compared to the ps3) so I think you should just get everything new and save yourself the worry of it breaking later.
