Mine's starting to go, I missed the batman one for $30, does not have to be an official one but a good one though

I actually have had pretty good luck with both the Power A Pro EX (shaped like a 360 controller) Amazon has them for $20.

I also like (though not as much) the Nyko Core Controller which is usually around $15. Both are wired and I think do a decent enough job for the cost.

Official ones I've never seen cheaper than $44 or so. /

I'm pretty sure that TRU also has or had a wired PS3 controller from Power A for $10-15 on clearance. So no need to pay so much more for one.
