Gearbox has been handing out free codes for those elusive Borderlands 2 Golden Keys on Twitter, and the best part is that they are generic codes that everyone can use. They are only good for a short time, though, and each platform has a unique code.
If you haven't already, go into EXTRAS in the Borderlands 2 menu and complete the free sign up for Shift. Just signing up will get you one free golden key. Then, follow @Gearboxsoftware and they will periodically post the codes.
They've already announced that they will be posting codes at 11am and 3pm CT today. Each code is only valid for 3 hours after they are posted. Just check twitter for the code, enter it into the SHIFT menu, and voila - Golden Key.
