$30 Mass Effect 3 N7 Collector's Ed(PS3/PC) @Gamestop

Longshot022

CAG Newbie
Good deal. The CE comes with the first DLC "From Ashes", so if you have any interest in that, this is worth it. The packaging is pretty nice too.
Now I feel really stupid for buying this at launch for 79.99!
the xbox 360 editions usually are sold out, PS3 is most likely always left. Don't feel bad, if you played through the game and finished it, then it's worth the time then.

Never buy Collector's Editions for high dollar costs if you don't want to see it for much cheaper in 3-6 months. It always happens. Games just don't hold value very well.

i have it for ps3 along with mass effect 2 but about to sell it on ebay. i will get the ME trilogy when ut comes out. hopefully it will have dlc for 1st and 2nd game. If ps3 version is due out in 2013 than some of ME3 dlc would be nice

I agree (same here), especially sad when best buy had it last week for $10

I believe ME3 BBY for $10 was last sunday.

Unless it's Xbox 360 versions of Mass Effect CE's, all three of which have retained value (3 less than the others, but still more than the other versions.)

I don't. But I got the 360 version which seems harder to find. Which system did you get it for?

It ended last Sunday but the price was valid for a week

EA being EA, I have little hopes of DLC on my ps3 trilogy, so I'll knock $10 off the price for the "from ashes" dlc.

That being said is im wondering if that art book and steel case are worth $20 because I already have the trilogy preordered....

I'd also love to know if me1 on ps3 will be included as a physical disk on the trilogy or just a dl code. If its just digital then I'm even more inclined to pick this up with a copy of me2 (didn't all new ps3 copies come with a lot of me2 dlc?)

Might get this, although I do have two different copies of the CE stuff for 360(only a copy of the game with one), but I love this series... hmmm

Mass effect Trilogy will be a two-disc collection.

ME1 will be a download game. No disc.

At this point in time no word if DLC would be included.

Where did you get this info?

EDIT: about 10 posts below there is a twitter link that says ME1 for :ps3: will be on a separate disk. So this website FAQ might not be up-do-date yet.

Will the original Mass Effect be available as a standalone game on PlayStation 3?

 • Yes, the original Mass Effect will be available as a standalone digital title through the PlayStation Network for $14.99. It will release the same day as the Mass Effect Trilogy on PlayStation 3.

^ based off the fact that ME1 on :ps3: will be available as a digital download, I would not be surprised if EA decided to simply include it as a download voucher in the Trilogy set. (but if it did come as a physical disk, that would be awesome!)

I'm wondering where you heard this too. When it was announced, I remember people asking on the PSN blog if ME1 would be a standalone release and the rep told them it would be available as a digital download on PSN. I haven't seen any confirmation about it being a voucher in the trilogy set. I wouldn't be too surprised if it was, but I'm hoping it's on disc.

I remember a similar situation was with the Killzone trilogy. I know they are 2 completely different developers, but people were asking on the blog about a standalone release, which they were told it would be available as a stand alone PSN download. The rep said that it would be included on disc with the KZ2 disc though.

Oh, I knew that, but I'm hoping that they will release it as a physical disc. I'm not going to hold my breathe, but I'm also not going to assume it won't be yet.

Still an assumption and shouldn't be stated as fact unless you want to work in politics than you should make it a way of life.

edit: I noticed you didn't post the original comment. Regardless, I'm still funny and that's what matters.

Thanks for rubbing it in. Would have loved to get it at $10 with the Gamer coupon. Unfortunately for me, there were never much stock in the south bay BBs if any at all. I looked when the coupon first came out when it dropped to $50 before coupon. Closest in stock was 45 mins away so availability was YMMV.

I have hundreds in trade in credit at GS so I'll burn the extra $20 not to have to drive 1.5 hours to and back. The GS right around the corner from work has one so I put it on hold and will get it at lunch.

Thanks OP.
So, seriously, you can get this ME2 CE for $10 at BBY? I thought people were talking about the regular edition for $10...
It was just the regular version, and it was Mass Effect 3, not 2, that CE is hard to find now.

sorry, my bad, typo... I meant ME3 CE... Thanks for the answer. ME3 CE for $10 is too good to be true. $10 for regular ME3 is still not too shabby. But the trilogy looks good! I don't have I and II, so I might get the trilogy...

Anyway, anyone lucky enough to score a ME3 CE for $30?

I got the ME3 CE for $10 at BB. In fact I got 4 of them for $10 each. (I bought the last 2 15 minutes before they closed the last day of the coupons, so everyone had time to buy the last 2.)

I know slightly OT, but how the hell are you able to use the coupon more than once? I was denied a return/rebuy because they firmly told me "only one use."

Whoops correction. The first 2 I had my coupon and I said I can go grab another mag and he said, "That's OK, we throw them out anyway". The last 2, I did buy the magazines for, so they were $15 each. Still worth it though. :D So yeah, I did have to buy 2 more copies of the mag.

Damn, that's still 50% less than $29.99, lucky find indeed, congrats. My local BBYs don't have the ME3 CE, so no such luck.

for xbox no dlc is included.
for ps3 the ME1 dlc is free.

That's just outright wrong. Seriously, google is your friend.

If anyone is looking for the :360: CE, Target has it for $29.99 if you are able to find it. I picked one up today at a local Target so they are out there. The Target clearance thread has the DPCI to check the stock at the store that you're at if need be.

I also bought this for $79.99 at launch and regret it. While the game is fun, the extras were NOT worth the higher price tag, lucky you guys are getting it for
