Yes, you save $17. But I don't like playing this kind of game with this platform.

$54.18 (10%) on PS3 though.

Yes, its been this price for awhile. A lot of Wii U games were marked $50 before Nintendo said "actually, Wii U games will be $60." This one just hasn't been upped yet.

I locked my pre-order a long time ago with some Madden bonus credit... Amazon pre-order deals have been slim pickin's lately.

It appears that Amazon already has it listed as having a MSRP of $59.99 with a $10 discount. But yeah, there's no guarantee that the price couldn't switch to $60 without notice.

I keep waiting for something like that to happen again.I have NG3, Pikmin3, NSMBU, Darksiders 2 and Monster Hunter Ultimate all sitting in my cart .If there is a chance i could save 10 on each of these that would be "just what the gamer ordered". I have no interst in Tekken right now but maybe later.Anyhow thanks Op!

There are some serious framerate issues for the Wii U version of Tekken Tag 2. Not sure if the issues will be present by the game's release, but there's some problems with the game at the moment.

Usually framerate issues and other fine tuning are done at the last minute. It'd be difficult to imagine Namco releasing a Tekken game that didn't run at 60 FPS. I haven't played the 360 version, but I know that the PS3 version noticeably knocks down the screen resolution while 3 characters are on screen simultaneously in order to maintain the framerate.

According to JPN sources, PS3 one is better than the WiiU. WiiU also had to sacrifice a few things (reason, don't know) like things missings or less on the stages / background. for the ones that care.

also, wiiu doesn't have a joystick.

According to Harada, the reason for the issues is the processor. Kind of worrisome for the console if it can't do what the PS360 can do now.

And to think, in 2 years, how under-powered the Wii U will be when the next-gen consoles hit.
...also, wiiu doesn't have a joystick.
You can use any Wii-compatible joystick such as the Madcatz TvC, Hori Fighting or dreamGEAR stick since Nintendo's already stated all Wii (no Gamecube) accessories will be compatible with the WiiU. Also, Madcatz will be annoucing their WiiU stick here soon which will plug into the WiiMote.

Funny how Namco seems to be having trouble with the Wii U, while Ubisoft actually feels the machine has a lot more to offer than they have to offer for it.

Sounds more like Namco is lacking on their own capabilities to do things right, and are blaming the hardware instead.

This is a very good deal. I'm not a Tekken fan, but I might get this for the cool Nintendo-themed extras.

Reason is entirely dependent on which devkits each developer has access to. Namco apparently hasn't updated theirs to the most recent like Ubisoft has and as such, Ubisoft's games are actually using closer to final hardware.

No launch game ever uses the actual final hardware.

Also the 360 version of TTT2 has noticeable slowdown on Christmas stage and lags on achievement pops and the PS3 version has long load times so it's not like any version of the game is particularly great. I don't know what "JPN source" would know how the final Wii U version would run though.

On the note of someone mentioning the other systems, they aren't going to be a whole lot more powerful either. Microsoft's pushing Kinect a lot and really trying for the casual fanbase these days and abandoning most of their exclusives and Sony can't afford something expensive after the Vita's basically bombed out and they lost so much money on the PS3 until recently.

It seems that Ubisoft is also struggling a little bit with achieving platform parity on the Wii U. Understandably all of these developers are forced to make some compromises as they learn their way around new hardware while rushing through a shortened development cycle in order to hit the launch window.
