CAGiversary!

Yeah no longer a launch title, but given its similarities to New Super Mario Bros. U that might be a good thing so when it does come out it won't get overshadowed. This actually is looking better overall than NSMBU so I can't wait.

I have this preordered and fully payed off hoping they let me use my Classic/gamepad instead of wii controller/touch screen controller.

Have you played the Rayman Legends demo at a Wii U kiosk? The gamepad is heavily integrated into the game, I wouldn't count on using the Pro controller (and obviously not the old Classic Controller for Wii).

When I played the game at a Wii U experience, I played Legends with the Pro Controller, but that was in multiplayer. The demo didn't let me use it for some reason, but it might have just been disabled.
Feel really bad for all Rayman fans at this point. Having to wait over 6 more months just because they want a simultaneous launch.
Don't feel bad for me. I have a huge backlog of games to work on plus all the new releases in the meantime.

it should have been a multiplatform release day 1. why give a new platform a sequel and then abandon the other platforms that made the original successful. dumb move to begin with on ubisofts part.

The original Rayman was made for the Atari Jaguar... ;)

What I don't get is if they were truly hamstrung by Microsoft's simultaneous launch day provision, why didn't they just release the game as is on the Wii U now and then do some kind of "Super fuckaloo" edition for :360::ps3: in the fall?
Why do I have a strong feeling Bayonetta 2 will be going the same way...
Nintendo is publishing it...

Boy do i feel bad for this game makers in this company. Looks like the really high ups in ubisoft is the reason this game is delayed. Sounds like game has already gone gold on wii u and games are already packaged as of two weeks ago. Wii u games will be in warehouse till september.
Seriously.... I really have no words for this. =/

At least I can excuse the GTA 5 delay due to Rockstar wanting more time to work on the game. But this delay on Rayman Legends is absolutely stupid given the game is done for the Wii U. Hardly anyone is going to give a crap about this game in September at least on the 360 and PS3 side of things. Not to mention now angering a ton of Wii U owners in the process who are software starved right now and pretty much had their money/cards ready to purchase this game. Oh and Nintendo pretty much pushed this game at retail level by having it being the MAIN game on the Wii U interactive kiosks over their own freaking mascot Mario even though Nintendo did recently add NSMB U on the kiosks.

Bad decision Ubisoft that's going to backfire on them big time.

Having just gotten to the demo for this, I'm terribly disappointed in the delay.

Playing through that demo was one of the most fun experiences that I've had with a video game in quite some time.

I don't think that any gaming moment in the last few years has put a smile on my face like the Castle Rock level did.

Can't believe how bummed I am now by the delay for the game. Terribly sad.

Because Ubisoft is a big boy and can publish their own games.

If Nintendo published Legends they'd palette swap Rayman for Waluigi or the dog from duck hunt or something because no one has heard of Rayman

I finally finished Rayman Origins yesterday. I can't wait to pick up Legends tomorr— Oh, wait.

:(

This is not true.

I rented it, this game is just incredibly fucking charming, I'll buy it when my plate is a little less full, or probably put it on the Christmas list.

I played the demo at Target (about time they had more than videos) and I have to agree. Very nice looking game. I'm not sure if all of the gyro-based puzzles worked well, but that's probably because I was standing up in a store, tethered to a kiosk.

Definite buy, but down the road cuz shaqfu 'em, that's why. Also, I'm playing other stuff.

I actually got around to playing the game last night. I didn't manage to buy it the week it came out, on account of attending PAX, and not being able to find Wii U copies at any of the stores in my area. I was able to pick up a copy on Tuesday, along with a copy of Puppeteer. I paid full price for Rayman: Origins, so dropping $60 on Legends wasn't a problem for me. (I loved Origins)

I only played it for about an hour, but so far Legends is really good. The regular levels are just as good as the ones in Origins, with even better graphics. The performance on the Wii U is buttery-smooth, it is pretty clear that it was the lead platform. The visuals and art style are superb. The controls are tight and responsive. The touch-centric levels are much more entertaining than I was expecting them to be. You basically use the touch and tilt controls to guide a little AI character through a level. It has a touch of problem solving crossed with platforming.

I'll pick this up sometime next year for $10 during a Gamefly sale.

Ubisoft missed their chance earlier this year with no platformer game competition and when tons of Wii U customers were itching to play a quality game.

I can see most people passing this up for 3D World or even the cheaper Super Luigi U during the holidays.

You guys are missing out.  Like Origins, Legends is going to be up there for GOTY for me.  Neck and neck with Tomb Raider.

$40 at gamestop right now. $25 after a gift card was too good to pass up. Sounds like it will be worth it. That castle rock level in the demo was awesome!

Anyone want the Gamestop exclusive Assassin's Creed IV costume code? Here you go:
