B1G1 glitch?

Did some googling just now; seems to be a dead glitch where it was supposed to be B2G1 but ended up working as B1G1.

My night at Gamestop went pretty smooth. Showed up about 10 pm and no one was in line yet. Waited in the car for a good 30 minutes before a few people started getting in line. Soon as the store opened I was about 5th in line and got out by at least 12:30 am

My haul was pretty good too
Mass Effect Trilogy (360) $59.99
Madden 13 (Vita) $39.99
Playstation All Stars Battle Royale (Vita) $39.99
Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified (Vita) $49.99
Turtle Beach X12 Headset $39.99

combine that with my copy of Dead Island Goty and Dishonored off bestbuy last night and I spent my exact limit of $300. Pretty good shopping.

I was prepared to argue; but the older style and newer style points cards were ringing up for $10 at the Blue Springs, MO location - no override needed :)

My total haul for the day:

Syndicate PC - $7
Forza Horizon 360 - $15
Dishonored PC - $25
Battlefield 3 Premium PC - $25

Xbox 360 Star Wars Kinect Limited Edition Console - $350 - $150 console trade-in = $200 (and can still sell the 250GB HDD)
PlayStation 3 3D Display + 2yr warranty - $115
Halo Reach 360 (wanted a physical copy) - $15

5x 1600 MS Space Bucks - $50

Total - A little less than $500 after tax. I'm a happy camper! :)

You should have went back and waved it in that chick's face.....and, waved the cash in her face, too!

I came here b/c I was sick of low trade-in prices.

Next to nothing left at my local WM. They wouldn't price match for the 360 points cards either.

Was hoping to find a Spiderman (360) but the only ones they had were locked behind the glass; according to the guy working there, they couldn't sell those at the BF price.

Did find a Max Payne 3 for $15 - kinda regretting the purchase now though cause I still need to play 1 and 2 first! :)

But you can't leave with NOTHING, right? :)

BTW - if anyone wants to trade two of those points cards ($20) for MP 3 ($15 + S/H), let me know. ;)

For those not finding any 1600 point cards with the video games, check the register lanes. Both of my Targets had no cards in electronics, but had tons at check-out.

Went to Best Buy rather than GameStop, because I had some friends already waiting in line (I would have gone with them, but had to ferry some family members home). Nobody was pissed that they held me a spot, so it was all good. Some chicks we know came to wait in line with us, but weren't there for Best Buy (Northgate mall, Seattle). They were going to Target upstairs, but just wanted to hangout. Was kind of surprised that nobody complained, and the security guards didn't give a crap.

Managed to get Dishonored and NFS: MW for $5 more than I would have at Walmart ($55)- and I don't care, because it's $5, and I hate Walmart. Also picked up both blu-ray steel book Dark Knight movies, for $10 a piece, along with two unexpected $5 gift cards (which the cashier had a hard time getting to activate. Took at least 10 min. for her and a manager to figure it out, along with 3 wasted gift cards).

Was not very crazy like I expected it to be- they managed it pretty well, and it seemed like they had an almost infinite stock of items. Of course, my friends were in the middle/kind of close to the front of the line, though 30 min. after the doors opened they still had tons of the 'big items' in the store. Had a pretty good night.

So Justice have been done lately regarding the deflated MSP cards.
Guess Justice will be done in the next round when the XBL marketplace inflates with all your 'stealing' MSP haha I was thrilled scrolling all pages with x 1600 MSP card, the cashier of Target and poor PMed

The XBLM will be fine. I guarantee you that publishers are not going to take a haircut because some third parties goofed a currency exchange. I doubt that even MS will eat a penny, though as I understand it, they aren't paid by retailers until the card is activated at checkout.

So, most Targets didn't know about the misprint of the 1600 MSP?

I got 10 MSP cards at Target w/ Black Ops 1 for $115. (Also scored a 50" Westinghouse 1080p HDTV even when I got there late! They had given tickets to the first few people in line, and not all were redeemed. I got it even after arriving 1 hour later than the store opening.)

Gamestop : Took advantage of B2G1 Pre-owned with purchase of Kinect and two Kinect games for $58.
Walmart : L.A Noire (NOT COMPLETE EDITION) and Black Ops 1 (for zombies) for $25.

Oh, and Dead Island GOTY and 2 PNY 16GB Flash Drives for $20.

I'm shocked that so many stores had tons of Xbox but all out of PS3. My brother decided to wait in line at GS (got there 15 mins before open) and was able to get one. I'm pretty happy cause my system was dead. Was gonna trade in the broken system, but my brother's friend wanted to buy it and try to repair it. Probably wouldn't of gotten much with the trade in boost. Still happy though.

Only thing I need is Max Payne 3 from K-Mart (2 PS3 for the Amazon $25 TIV) and some Kinect games for my new Kinect. Turned out to be an amazing BF!

Targets are open today starting at 4am est there is a $10 rebate on items purchased over 100$ in select categories. Most of the staff did not know the normal cards could be redeemed for half the price they actually were trying to turn me away, then the clerk tried it and went "oh crap we have about 200 cards we're going to have to run today" lol, no I didn't take 200 but I took a nice portion. Thanks CAG'ers

Just got back from target a 2nd time. Decided to stick with my original amount and get 7 1600 point cards. Then I went to best buy got some blu rays, 6 months of Xbox gold, UFC undisputed 3, and that toshiba blu ray player on the cover of the best buy ad. I might go at 3 am every year now. Both stores were dead at this time of night walked right up to the checkout register. Debating if I need to go back later for more points cards. Anybody know how many points it would be all together for season passes to halo 4, black ops 2, wwe 13, and borderlands 2?

So I just bought an Xbox and have no prior experience with Xbox live. Can someone fill me in on how the points and cards work and also why people are goin crazy over those!

It's $20 of MS online currency to buy stuff on its marketplace for $10. Now multiply that by how many cards you want.

I got a bit of a runaround but they overwrote the price to $10. I only got 3 cards so I think that helped. I only have $1 in points on my account currently so 1 card is for Skyrim DLC in 2 weeks and the others are for MS holiday sales.

When I got to Best Buy at around 11:15, I almost panicked, the line reached around to the back of the damn store. But we were slowly let in early and it turns out I had nothing to worry about. I went for the 360 bundle, there were plenty left. I got my Turtle Beach headset, but 2k13 ran out :/. I was pretty impressed actually at how well stocked my local Best Buy was. And the workers were all pretty polite despite being forced to work then.

Also I DID see several $99 Playstation 3D displays sitting there. It was tauting me almost, reminding me that 2 months ago I bought one for $170. I almost picked one up.. but decided not to. I think they were gone within the first hour.

I tried 2k13 at Amazon at 8:10, but the internet at the person's house was so shitty, I didn't get it. So other than not getting 2k13 I'm pretty happy overall this BF.

Yeah. I noticed this at the Best Buy I was at. I only saw two people go for the Xbox bundle, and tons of people went for the PS3 bundle- they were gone fast. Quite a few people picked up Vitas as well. Kind of odd- last Black Friday the Xbox seemed pretty popular (but it was probably because of the Kinect).

Thanks to all for the encouragement to go out to get the MS points cards. My Target was fairly deserted (got there a little after 1am) and I was pretty happy to find a TON of points cards at almost every register. Now, had I been smart, I would've gone straight into a checkout line, done the deed, and been out in about 2 minutes total. But no, I got greedy and wanted to go back to electronics to see if they had the 2400 points cards some people mentioned were glitching for $10 as well.

Well, the electronics section was closed off and you had to wait in a VERY SLOW line while the 1-2 employees assigned there basically escorted you around. Forget the fact they had the Target security guy there, or that there were more employees milling about but not helping than customers, they stuck to this policy. So I ended up waiting like 20 minutes for the 5-6 groups of people in front of me to go in. I was talking to the family in front of me and when I told them they had a ton of cards up front and they were ringing at $10 at the Price Checkers, the guy and his kid beelined for the front and came back with 20 cards (!). When I got to the front I explained what I was looking for, and the guy went back and said they didn't have any 2400 point cards (those are the 3x800 packs, right? I maybe didn't explain well) and then told me the ONLY points cards on sale were the ones in the ad, which they were sold out of. (I also wanted to browse to see what might be on sale but I was basically told no browsing!)

I told him they were ringing up for $10 and it would be fine (doing a jedi mind trick). He insisted I was wrong and the Target security guard said the same thing. To prove it he took a card to the register, scanned it, and ..... it rang up at $10. Ha.

So he told me it'd be faster to go up to the front to check out. So I go up front which is fairly deserted, but only staffed with trainee cashiers (I guess it's low seniority, but crappy "welcome to the job" shift). She was ringing them up happily when another trainee came by and said "Those aren't the ones on sale". This caused trainee cashier #1 to freeze and then accidentally drop one of the activated (!) cards INSIDE the UPC scanning part of the checkout aisle!! She tried to call for a manager to fish it out because it wouldn't let her void just the lost card, but finally Trainee #1 and Trainee #2 figured out they could void the whole thing and start over. I'm really hoping my cards work..... but the receipt does show them all activated.

So I ended up with my 6 cards (I grabbed one to replace the lost card and found there were still a lot left) and happily checked out.

Moral of the story-- if all you're going for is space bucks, grab them and get out. ;) They work-- at least the front lane ones with the avatar, no matter what anyone is saying in the store. Took me nearly an hour, but still pretty fun to get them!

(I did notice quite a lot of the doorbusters were still around.. lots of the 4GB Xbox/Kinects, maybe 60% of the games, etc... randomly stuff was strewn about the store. The cheap blurays were long gone though)

(wow, sorry this is so long, guess I get rambly after being up for like 20 hours! At least it's late enough this thread's moving slowly..)

20 minutes till the mall gamestop opens. I guess everybody who was serious went to a midnight one cause there's only 2 people waiting. Glad I'm not waiting to get into the shoe store though cause that place has a line a mile long.

Meijer sales start in 1 hour, 12 minutes.

Attempting to get a 16 GB Vita memory card there for 50% off which would total $30.

Wish me luck!

The one in Salem, NH had signs for $10 rebate for $50 purchased. Different at every Target?

I might try my luck at around 8am.
