(DEAD) Silent Hill Downpour PS3 $9.99 FSSS Amazon

Nice Find OP. It's really uncommon to see Amazon selling Ps3 games for $10 or less. Glad I waited to use my $5 off $25 code:
Silent Hill Downpour ($10) + Devil May Cry Collection ($16.96) - $5 code = $21.95, not bad for 4 games.
 
There was also an issue with the subway sometimes locking you out, limiting where you can progress. I don't know if there was a patch to fix these issues or not.
 
The game also has an unpatched issue in the very first level where you can't progress from the lockerroom to the showers.

To pass that, go to the XBox dashboard, disconnect XBox Live, and reload the game. You should be fine.

Other than that, it's a very atmospheric and fun game; a steal at $10. :)
 
I suppose this game is worth the 10 bucks? Haven't played a SH seriously since.....SH2, I think. Tried Homecoming from Gamefly and was not feeling it at all.
 
I placed it in my cart and looked at my wishlist to see if anything else dropped in price and when I went to buy, it said it was no longer available...damn. (Though the original listing shows that it is available for $9.99

It's worth $10, but no more than $15.

I'm a Silent Hill fan, for what that's worth. :cry:

Someone mentioned the subway glitch-- it has supposedly been patched for both 360 & PS3. I played through the 2nd time after that patch just to get some achievements for the 360.
 
I just finished this game. I don't remember being this frustrated by a game in a LONG time. Getting chased is not fun.

Cool, didn't know it had 3d. I'll be doing the same headphone/3d setup too. I don't expect dead space scary but I'll still only play it at night with the lights off

I have a set of audio technicas ($130, pretty decent) hooked up to the turtle beach DSS amp. 5.1 but amazing setup and sound

It's one of the better games in 3d IMO. I thought it was much scarier than dead space. But of course dead space has much better mechanics and such. I played it only at night with the lights off and I kept having chills run down my back. Love it.

I actually really liked this one. The best western developed Silent Hill to date in terms of the experience as a whole. The combat mechanics-wise it's probably the worse.

No. I got the other 7.1 PS3 headphones. $50 from Sears. I was like, YAY!.....but they were priced wrong. Still, they gave them to me for the $50.00 price(oddly, $50 even, after tax).
 
This isn't a bad game but it's not a great one either.

Nothing to cry about if you decide to pass it over but $10 is a good price point for it.

Too bad it's dead~

Shattered Memories was meh.

4 was ok, 3 was good, 2 was great, 1 was great.

everything else is meh and Book of Memories is probably a "what book of memories?"


sigh...i sure miss Akira Yamaoka.
 
This game was a giveaway for the price!:hot: The 3D is SICK!!!!!! I will not be skipping through any of the cut-scenes in this!!!!!!!!:applause:

Could someone please edit this thread and put DEAD in the title. I thought this had gone live again. I'm mad I missed out the first time around and this got my hopes up.
